One of the best professors at Colgate, hands down. I've so far taken two classes and a lab with him and I plan on asking him to be my advisor. He is incredibly fair, easy to follow, and he never assumes you know more than you do. He's also a great person to just have a conversation with. If you're interested in bio at all, take a class with him!!!

Excellent. Understands that his students are not generally science majors, but the class is still interesting if you do enjoy the hard sciences. No surprises on tests. Concise interesting readings that take at most 30 min the night before class. No surprises on tests, emphasis on in class notes(which are clear), some broad reading questions.

He will answer any question you have through email in detail. Gives lecture outlines every day, and elaborates on the concepts therein by drawing pictures on the board, so there is a lot of notes to study. Exams are long and hard, but fairer than what some of his colleagues come up with. Would recommend for any Bio class, if you want to learn.

GREAT teacher. i hate science, and just took it to fulfill a science requirement. And he makes the material easy for those of us not majoring in the sciences. A very nice man, adorable, and very passionate about teaching. Highly recommend. The class is also very easy if you do the reading and keep up with it.

He is a very nice professor but he has a female bias; he prefers to take female students for his research tutorial, I guess because they are more hardworking.
