Presidents and the Constitution in my opinion was a waste of a class. No tests or quizzes on what you read, you have one paper and a longer paper for your midterm and final. If you want to learn about Presidents and the Constitution, just buy the book, no need to take a class on this.

Terrific professor for a difficult class. Civil Rights Litigation involves complex statutes and procedures and he makes it quite clear. No pressure when you're called on, either. I really liked the option of writing a paper (for our ULWR) or creating a brief on current case. One of the better classes I've had and definitely one of the best profs.

After an awful first year, Prof. G's class was a breath of fresh air. He didn't make students guess at answers or hide the ball. The textbook is trying, but his lectures and my notes from those lectures were extremely helpful and what I used to study. He makes class enjoyable and makes students feel welcome. I'm so glad I had him for Con Law.

The absolute best professor I've had at Duquesne. He actually cares that we learn the material and feels it's important to stay current with the field. I also had him for Con Law and these two classes prepared me more for the bar than any other class I've taken. Plus, he's just an overall great guy to talk to whose door is always open to students.

I don't believe Prof. Gormley actually taught Const. Law last year, but in previous years the students who took his course found him to be both an excellent and accessible professor but also - and more importantly - good a preparing you for the bar exam. At Duquesne, that's an unfortunate exception for a lot of bar courses. One of the best there.

One of the best professor I have ever had. He truly is a REAL con law professor. And he is clearly one of the most experienced professors the law school has. In fact he is now dean which proves just how knowledgable he truly is. I would highly recommend him-- because he is the best of the best.

Gormley is one of the best professors I had. He does cover a TON of cases, but the course is manageable if you LISTEN in class and take notes on EVERY WORD he says. He tells you EVERYTHING you need to know. Do not read the casebook unless it is your turn to be called on. You are allowed to use a cheat sheet on the test. Use old exams to study.

Great Professor, asset to Duquesne especially with his publishing record. Invited entire Con. Law class over to his house after final exam (how cool is that?). Despite what other people wrote on this page, I learned alot about Con. Law in his class. However, the casebook used is awful and we did cover too many minor cases.

You learn more in creating the 2-sided one page 8 1/2 by 17 "cheat sheet" that he lets you bring into the exam than you do all year. Don't read each case-you'll cover about a million of them--way too many. Get a 1 line definition of what the case stands for and sit back and have a chuckle while Gormley tries to convince you how important he is.

This class is awaste of time, I wish I had areal Con Law Professor. All we learn is the politicl affiliations of the Supreme Court Justices. He should be teaching a political science course not a Constitutional Law course.

Gormley is my favorite guy! He's brilliant. People who don't like him are jealous and angry because they aren't on his level. I'd vote for him in any political office! AND - He's so receptive to questions and meetings to discuss the material. More professors should be like him.

A classmate told me about this site. Who rated Prof. Gormley highly in the last three days? What a joke, sounds like an inside job. I agree with the last student who is looking for Antkowiak. I lost out last year. Guess who I had?

A very good professor. Tough but fair on grades. Also, very willing to help you do better after the mid-term. No shortage of feedback or advise. A dedicated professor, which is in shortage at DU, unfortunately.
