the assignments in this course were hell. they were not hard but they required so much effort and time to complete. the prof assigns the work as if you have no other class work and expects you to do only his stuff. gives 2 weeks to hand in what would take 3 weeks to complete. also have not been given a grade yet. been about 4 weeks since class end

Comment:

Awesome Professor for CS6605. Explains the concepts really well. You will never feel like going out of focus. Assignments and Exams are straight forward and easy. His project are really worthy to spend time. Projects will seem to be obscure in the beginning but will be very easy once you figure out certain things. Overall a great Prof in UNB/CS.

Best prof ever! :) I took his 4405 course which was much better. 3997 is really dry material regardless of who teaches it. However, IMO, he taught it the best - I did withdraw from 3997 when Goldfarb taught it, and trust me, his class was bad! For example, Goldfarb spent an entire class ranting about a secretary not doing her job.

Best prof I ever had! He would make us laugh, he's really down to earth and he cares how his student do in class. The material is difficult to the point where half the class dropped out of the course after the midterm, but he marks very fair. So, if you go to the lectures, and do your best on the assignments, you'll get a good grade.

Class was slightly difficult, but that's probably my lack of interest in the material. Ken will always sit down and explain things to you but never just give you the answer, which means you understand what you did wrong so you can get it right next time. Good prof for what could have been a really hard course.

This was an interesting introductory course to Computer Science. He is a very funny guy and used that to teach in a fun sort of way. His assignments are quite long but they do teach you things. The midterm was difficult but it's not high school anymore. Overall awesome prof!

He's a good teacher in terms of lecturing, but the course is all over the place. The parts of the course have little in common. Pray to remember and are good at assembly code since that's what you get marked on even though theory is all he teaches.

Ken is a big nerd haha but he is awesome. I personally found his lectures to be very boring.. but if you go to them he will go out of his way to help you outside of class if you need it. Keep up with your readings, and ask questions if you don't get it, and you're sure to do well.

Ken is a great prof, not easy but will force you to learn something. The only people who complain about him are stupid first year students, and they think all profs are bad because they are too dumb to do good in any classes.

Poor teacher for the lower level courses. He might be okay for 3rd or 4th year courses but I most certainly wouldn't recommend him for 1st year courses. Mid-terms are far too complicated. Teacher is approachable but he avoids any difficult questions. Does not provide feedback or assistance to the class when requested.

terrible prof. he changed the course around, but kept the notes/teaching material from before. assigments had nothing to do with what he tought, so didn't learn anything. he is also arrogant, and not really approachable. doesn't always seem to know what he is talking about. at least he can speak englsih i guess.

Great prof. Obviously has never heard of easy marks. Approachable and helpful. If no one in class is participating, he will get a little stressed. In that case, speak up, even if it's to say "I don't know" and everything will be ok.

I, and others I talked to, found the midterm and exam a little intense. Difficult course, but great prof. Very approachable and helpful. I would definitely take another course with him.
