Just take him if you can. I'm pretty bad at math but I got A for both courses. If you know how to do homework, and practice exam that he gives, then you will get an A. His lecture is very clear. I still use his website for notes though I transferred to UCs.

If you are a person who struggles in math, DO NOT TAKE HIM. This is the most difficult math class I've taken, and I've taken PreCalc in high school! He's very nice and is willing to help but the tests are too way difficult, grades are dependent on your tests. I know a lot of people in this class who either have a C or failing. He is very fast too.

A strange professor from what I can tell. Ken told someone, outside of class, they avoid hiring people with a background in educational degrees. Interesting classes I'm sure though from what I see! Interesting how so many of his reviews say the same key words like "hands down." I can see what they mean though. Thanks for the great class!

Comment:

Professor Kuniyki is a great and compassionate teacher. I have some health issues that caused me to miss a fair amount of classes as well as tests, which surprisingly he let me make up. Most professors are strict and unforgiving for test taking delays or misses. Professor Kuniyki cares and goes above and beyond to provide us with relevant info.

I've taken him for both 141 and 150. Hands down the best math professor you can take. People complain that his homework is too much but it is a guide to help you succeed on his exams. He does everything he can to get you an A, its just up to the student to put in the work or not. Everything is provided on his website. Nicest man ever!

Ken is a REALLY thorough professor. He will provide you a good foundation for higher calc. If you need help, visit him during office hours or usually he'll stay awhile after class. If you do the exam review, you'll do fine on the exam. He is always willing to help. He is very devoted to teaching and helping students. I highly recommend him!

Don't take him if you are the type of student to slack on homework, as I have seen my fellow classmates suffer because of this. However, if you are willing to work hard, take him! His office hours are always helpful, and he is arguably one of the funniest professors I've ever had. I LOVE U PROFESSOR KUNIYUKI 3 Gonna miss him a lot.

Prof. K was a good choice. His class is challenging, but it's also student friendly. The homework is not that bad, like some say it is. You can pass, but you must work for it. Take advantage of study groups and the tutoring center. He responds to emails almost immediately. He'll even help you find study groups if you ask. Prof. K is awesome!

I wish he would teach upper level classes. I love him. He some how makes this difficult class enjoyable and memorable. He will also respond to emails at ANY HOUR. I mean that. He has put in so much effort into his website to have students succeed; it was a key element in getting my A. So lucky to have taken him. Best professor I've taken in math.

Best Professor I have ever had. Hands down. There is no end to his availability. If you need help you get it no question. All his homework is written by himself and handed out so you wont need the book for problems, and his notes are 8$ at the bookstore and are filled with example problems on how to do the homework.

Best math course I've taken so far. Your grade is based on tests. He truly wants people to understand the material to move on to the next level(s) because he knows how important a good math foundation is for students to succeed in higher level maths. There is a lot of resources on his website that lay down a path to success in his class.

great great great professor, best mesa has to offer. his practice tests are almost identical to the actual test. stays after class if you need help, which should be taken advantage of. his handwritten notes are a little rough, but still good enough that no textbook is needed. i love ken, and i wish he would teach higher courses!

I took an AP Calculus in high school, about 6 years ago, and my teacher taught very fast. I ended passing the AP test with a 4, but felt like I didn't enjoy the class very much. Kuniyuki explains his material very well and has a full website with his notes. His test are also extremely easy and gives you access to a exam from last semester to study.

He was a good professor for those that are really, REALLY good at math. He has his own website that you can use for help. You don't need to buy a textbook, just show up to class and learn. If you are not proficient in Math, you will not pass this course. He is not very clear when explaining things but he will try to explain things to you if you ask

Kuniyuki is an amazing professor! He is tough and expects every student to work hard and attand every class meeting. He is fair with grading. People complain about the "massive" amount of homework but in reality it is not that bad and his exams are equally if not less challenging than the hw. I feel well prepared for calc 2.

Meeting his class very well explained. It has an impressive graphics quality and I feel more confident as I will explain to my students for the future, because it feels that it is possible to understand someone that is expressed in terms of Professor Ken K. try to imitate him, I'll do my bedside book Thank you very much.

Kuniyuki was funny at first and he seems pretty cool but he's actually the opposite!! Tests are tough and if you arent good in math he will make you feel intimidated. He feels lazy to help during office hrs. &your grade depends on your TESTs. If you fail his tests then expect to fail the class. No EC! HE'S VERY TOUGH! NEVER TAKE HIM!! NEVERRR!
