Remarkably intelligent and easy to understand. His views aren't necessarily far flung, many of the comments accuse him of being far right, yet I didn't see it. I'm radical far left and I quite enjoyed listening to his opinions. He is humanistic and altruistic, and offers wise insight for issues regarding the Middle East etc. Highly recommended prof

Great professor. Hard class. He has great views but if you do something even slightly wrong, you won't pass the WI. The tests were hard and there weren't any "notes," you just wrote down what you thought was important.

Guy is a major tool. Rambled for almost a lecture period about nonsense and government crap. Watch what question you ask him as he may out wit you to make you look bad. Test are hard, some map quizzes are hard too, god forbid you leave to go to bathroom, cause he will not let you back in.

My favorite teacher in the world. I took him 3 times and about to take him my for the 4th. His notes are sorta hard to follow but it doesn't matter cuz most of his exams are straight up book material...just go to class, ace your map quizzes, skim the chapters in the book and ur in the clear!

Dr. Lowrey was a great teacher and knows what he's talking about. Although his test are not easy the class is interesting and informative. He made me think outside the box for the first time in my college career. Take him!!!

Lectures are very interesting, he has a lot of stories to tell that can help you remember the material. As long as you take notes & read the chapters, you will do good on the tests. Go to class, if attendance is low, he will do a quiz and that's 10% of your grade.

This guy really gets it. He understands why there is unrest in the Middle East. He brought it back to Abraham. The facts don't lie. Muslims and Arabs hate Jews because God said they were his favorite. Like it or lump it. Every knee will bow one day anyway. Best be on His side.

Must be a motivated student, if so you will pass easily. If you just want to get an easy grade then don't take him. He is extremely helpful in office hours. Reading the text is a must and devoting time to studying. Attendance is not mandatory but sometimes he uses it for bonus points.

Mr. Lowrey is a great professor with a great attitude towards the topic he is teaching. The first day was a bit intimidating, but once you get used to his style you will do well as long as you put the effort forth. Papers are a little difficult, but if you follow his guidelines you will do well. This class wlll change your life!

I really enjoyed having Lowrey as a professor. His information is very intresting and really makes you think. His exams are not too bad and neither are the map quizzes. I really enjoyed coming to class and would def. take him again :)

He is a very smart, opinionated professor. You have to attend class and his tests require serious studying. I was skeptical of his class the first couple days, but I gained a lot of knowledge that I'm using now. If you like random facts take this class.

I did not like his teaching style. He does not put assignments on the syllabus (you HAVE to come to class to get assignments). He is intimidating - it seems as though he dares students to disagree with him so he can make them look foolish. His tests are ridiculously difficult for a gen ed class.

Second time I've had him, and he is still awful. His lectures are unorganized; it often appears he doesn't prepare the lecture before class. Tells us that American students are dumb, that the media lies to us, and that how we got into the war in Iraq doesn't matter on a daily basis. This is not the place to express those opinions.

I didn't really enjoy the subject when i took it, so maybe thats why i hated it. the tests seemed impossible, and the papers were hard to write. The book reminds me of a high school literature book with thousands of tiny words per page, that mean nothing in the end. i regreat taking this class. go to class also! or you will DEF. FAIL!

He is definitely conservative. Sometimes I felt like he was trying to get my vote as president rather than lecture. Gets more interesting at the end of the quarter. Tests were pretty hard. Didn't really use the book..map quizzes really boost your grade. Go to class, for ever 2 attendance quizzes missed you drop one final letter grade automatically.
