Excellent at presenting material and a test a week helps you get a good grade even if you bombed a test once or twice. His tests are straightforward and simple enough if you attend class and take notes.

There is no final but he gives a larger quiz every friday. He starts off the quarter grading very critically. As the weeks progress he becomes more lenient because many students fail the exams or get D's. I guess that is his way of "curving"...

He does a quiz every Friday instead of having midterm and final. Those are your only grades. He grades really hard on the tests at first, but grades every test a little easier than the last one. Overall, if you study out of the book you will do really well because he takes his questions from the example problems in each chapter.
