Decent Professor, you don't really need to to do much in his class to do well. If you do your homework he automatically gives you a 100 for the assignment.

The most boring professor, his lectures are a torture. Tries to joke but is not really funny. His exams are very hard, he doesn't prepare you either. Lectures are unclear, demand a lot of work. Do not take this class unless you really have to.

This semester is my third class with KJ. I see some comments refer to him as boring. At times he is a bit dry, but after leaving the class, months later you will realize how much you have really learned from him. He is probably the smartest professor I have taken a class from. Give him a chance and you will learn tons.

Not a bad guy, just boring and sometimes a bit condescending. If you've ever seen Ferris Bueller's Day Off, then he's like the teacher. His tests are pretty easy and there's 3 papers that are based on opinion. Homework assignments are rare but strictly graded. It's not hard to get a good grade in this class if you pay attention to the material.

Comment:
Firstly, this CLASS kinda sucks. I'm not a theories person, and that's what we are studying. I think the professor would be great teaching an upper level or graduate course, and I would take one from him, but he teaches in a conversational way, which doesn't work in such a large intro class. Very nice person, and much better w/ a smaller class.

Comment:
prof. johnson was absolutely TERRIBLE!!! this man should not be allowed to teach. for such an abstract major and class, the amount of interest he instilled in the students and the amount of enthusiasm he had for his craft was microscopic. the reading assigned is ridiculous. the CLASS is ridiculous. don't take it if given the choice.

I think that Professor Johnson is one of the kindest professors I have ever met. As an advisor, he really took the time to help me find the right path. His research if very interesting to read and his assignments are quite effective. I learned a great deal from him and respect him immensely.

I took two classes with this professor and have to say they were the two worst I took at the University. I hate giving someone a bad review but I found his teaching to be ineffective and incredibly unmotivating. It seemed like he was uninterested & lazy.
