Class was fun and so was professor LaBrant makes you want to come to class we played Bingo, watched some videos and spoke quite a bit and I really enjoyed the laid back style. He definitely makes it the perfect pace for an intro class since I only had a year in high school. Take him he is def one is the best on campus.

Hon 3300 really challenges me to think about lots of difficult topics. I like the discussion and the book was pretty good too...I wouldnt have picked this to read myself but it was actually pretty decent and the topics we discussed in class really made me think and we were challenged to suooort our own ideas and opinions.

Dr. LaBrant is my favorite professor at Troy! He is so caring, and he wants to see you succeed. He makes his class enjoyable and tries to incorporate fun activities to help you learn. His course material is not very rigorous, so if you want to be challenged this probably is not the class for you. I would recommend Dr. LaBrant's class 100%.

Spanish Cinema is a class where you watch a movie on a controversial topic, and then write a paper in a group on how the topic should be handled. As long as you show up and participate in writing the paper, youll have an A. Dr. Labrant is super funny and makes the class interesting. This class really opened my mind and made me think.

We watched Spanish films on different controversial topics, and we wrote group papers on how America should handle this issue. He will make you discuss every topic you might want to avoid on a college campus (immigration, abortion, drugs, euthanasia, etc). You'll get an A if you attend classes though. Enjoyment depends on group members assigned.

LaBrant's class is very entertaining, interactive, and overall a great experience. He's very different from Spanish teachers I have taken in the past. He focuses heavily on actual sentences you would need for conversations more than just basic words. Tests are very easy (Written and oral) and always makes sure you are well prepared for them.
