Mark is the bomb. He cares about his students and can really help you understand concepts. He doesn't assign particularly difficult stuff, and the exams aren't insane. He understands that this is an online course, and really tailors it to not be a burden on your summer. I've taken 2 classes with him, and would take 2 more if I could. Great guy.

Dr. Collins is a fantastic professor. Marketing 460 is not a particular glamorous class, but he does a great job making it interesting. Clicker quizzes are given almost daily, but are very basic and easy if you've read the book. He is funny (odd sense of humor, but suits his personality), and cares about his students. Amazing professor.

Comment:

Dr. Collins tries to be funny by throwing in pop culture references but it doesn't work most of the time. His tests are ridiculously hard but the homework and quizzes are very easy. I got less than an 80 on both of the tests and still got a great grade. Slow grader so trying to figure out your grade before a test is hard. Bad at responding to email

Dr. Collins is an alright professor, but this class is pretty simple. As long as you watch the learning modules and take brief notes you should earn 4 or 5 on all quizzes. The Aplia online work is tedious but a grade booster at the end of the day. He is not good at responding to email. This class is easy as long as you do the work on time.

Dr. Collins is a perfectly nice person, but not a great professor. He is absolutely horrendous at responding to emails, which is especially concerning when it relates to grades. I would not take a class with Dr. Collins again until he understands how to use the software necessary for the ONLINE class he teaches.

He doesn't seem like he really knows what he's doing -- especially for an online instructor. He constantly posts broken links, doesn't post things on time, and is incredibly unclear. He claims he tries to respond to every email within 24 hours, but I have sent at least 6 email since the beginning of the semester, and he's only replied to one...

This professor is one of the best professors in the Marketing department. He's really passionate about what he touches, and it shows. He's an expert in the subject and has a decorated resume to show for it. He gives a lot of examples in class that really drive his points home. The tests aren't particularly easy but they aren't impossible either.

Collins was a very good teacher. The class was not incredibly difficult but was not easy at the same time, somewhere in between. He is really clear cut in the lectures, not to mention hilarious and can't go 10 minutes without cracking a cheesy joke. Overall, really great professor who taught the class well and was enjoyable at the same time

Funny and nice guy, makes class interesting to sit through. Online homework is very easy. The tests are a little wordy which can make them a little difficult to understand, plus there is no study guide given out beforehand. As long as you read the book, attend class to get clicker points, and enjoy his humor you should be fine.

He is hands down one of my favorite professors I have had at UT. You have to go to class because there are clickers quizzes but he makes class interesting and fun. Online homework is super easy. If you have to take Marketing 350 take him!

I was a management major before this class. (now Pub. Admin.) Collins makes it seem as though all students can ever do is become meaningless middle managers. The only time he acknowledges our ability to be upper level in a company is if it is a small one in our family. I don't like to be talked down to. class was boring! hard to stay awake.

I really enjoyed this class! Attendance isn't mandatory, but the quizzes are pretty easy and they are great grade boosters seeing they're worth about 25%. He's pretty funny, so listening and paying attention is easy to do. I didn't hardly study for the 3 exams and did great on all of them from paying attention in class and taking some notes.

Mr. Collins was definitely the best teacher I had this semester. I just wish I had gone to class more because attendance is a major part of the class and that will most likely hurt my grade. However he is awesome though and a lot better than the other teachers for it.

This is my 2nd time taking Collins (also took MKT 340 with him). He is excellent & probably my favorite professor in college. Very knowledgable and easy to talk to. Down to earth guy who wants to see you succeed. Definitely take him.

The subject matter is not the most interesting, but man, Mr. Collins is awesome. He never failed to make me laugh and has some good stories! The quizzes and tests were straight from the textbook and PowerPoints. If you have to take Management 201, take him!
