I took intro to sociology with him this past semester.I found him to be really enthusiastic, funny, warm, informative, and wise.He references a lot of quotes each class that are related to the topic; which I really liked.I found that he gave hard tests and was also a hard grader.Overall though,he was an awesome professor;I'd surely recommend him!!

This man is literally the nicest man on the planet. What an amazing professor! knowledgeable and kind. Definitely my favorite. He cares about your success and is willing to work with you and help you. I've enjoyed every class I've taken with him (3 so far). I wish every professor were as genuine!

Professor MacIver is extremely pleasant and kind. He is always there if you need help and always willing to answer questions. He teaches in a way that you?re very interested in the material, makes it very easy to understand the subject! He is so smart a very genuine man. He is, by far, the best professor I?ve had so far.

Can easily put you to sleep. Remember the terms he uses in class. Don't bother reading the text. Talks too much about the Ivy School he went to and obsolete things. Earned an A but gave me an A-, totally unfair.

Speaks in monotone and very boring. He definitely favors the women in class over the men. He even invites them over his house to do some "cleaning" or cut his lawn on the weekends and he says he will give them an A. Very strange!!

the man is very elderly, and a bit out of touch. can be very funny in a grandfatherly way, however he repeated the same stuff in class so many times, i just stopped going, took the test and got an A. recommended if you can sit through some pretty dry lectures.

Prof. MacIver is not dry at all.. the subject is a pre-rec so many people may not enjoy taking this, but for a professor he's got some comedy.. and really wants everyone to succeed.. tests arent that hard and you can opt to do a final paper instead.. definatly take him!
