M. Meadwell was an amazing, caring and inspirational professor. I graduated in 2013 and am now an Immersion teacher. His attention to detail, his wonderful lectures in his literature courses underlined the importance and purpose of literature. I try and emulate his awesome example with my own students. Merci mille fois, Monsieur!

Comment:

Prof. Meadwell was an inspiration when I took his literature courses. I took as many as I could! I've graduated but have learned that France made him a Knight! Incredibly caring and awesome prof, he was always so well-prepared and hilarious. His PowerPoint lectures even had sound effects! I miss his classes and thanks to him read as much as I can.

Prof. Meadwell is an inspiration. His passion for literature is clear in every class and he teaches us concepts that help us understand, appreciate and explain what we are reading. I've learned so much about literature from him and can say that his courses help me in English lit and film studies. Awesome prof!

Like others I agree Mr. Meadwell makes his class very challenging but I can say I've learned more in this one semester than in my previous two french classes combined. He is always willing to help and I felt I truly got my money's worth with this class.

I graduate soon + am so thankful I was able to take courses with Monsieur Meadwell. I took as many as I could with him because he is an inspiration, he is very helpful + makes it all worthwhile + wants us all to learn as much as we can. He pushes us but in a good way. Professor Meadwell is an incredible person and teacher. He is by far the best prof I had at UofW. I learned a great deal in all of his classes (I took a lot of them!) and he always made time to answer my questions and help me with my assignments. Highly recommended!

AMAZING prof. He is so knowledgeable in French (and English!) and if you are willing to learn and work hard, he is one of the most helpful and enthusiastic professors at the University. Expect to work hard, he has high expectations for all students, and doesn't appreciate you making the same mistake twice. He will remember. ~GREAT PROF.~

This is a really hard course after just 1st yr language. The professor seems scary at first cuz it's such a different course from 1st yr. He is really clear and helpful and after awhile everything becomes clear. He is really helpful altho intimidating at first. He's now my fav prof. Take his courses. You'll learn tons. And he's a hot Frenchman.

Monsieur Meadwell was very helpful and clear in this course that could be kinda dry. He brings the concepts to life and you can tell he loves literature and knows how to share his enthusiasm and also teach you at the same time. I feel I've got a good solid base now for more lit courses and will defintiely take more from him. I highly recommend him!

I thought I liked professor Meadwell and then suddenly, the devil within him became clear. He berated his students and made them feel inadequate. He marks based on how much he likes you and no matter how hard you try, he will grade you the same. Stay away!

prof meadwell is one of my favorite profs. he is personable, encouraging altho demanding + helped me learn to speak and write better. read better and understand literature. i highly recommend him for anyone who seriously wants to learn. a great guy : )

This is the 3rd course I've taken w/ Monsieur Meadwell. I always appreciated how helpful and interesting he is. He knows how to bring everything together so that it makes sense and is useful. I owe so much of my progress in the Fr language to him. I totally recommend him! I'm just sorry I can't take any more courses with him. I just graduated!

extremely useful cse. fills up FAST. we got a lot of work in vocab, gram + writing. i improved a huge amount. prof seems intimidating at first but he's not, he's fun, knows tons + is super helpful. this was my favorite class + should be required for a fren maj. highly recommend meadwell + any course he teaches. great experience if u do the work
