Great at explaining complicated calculus. He's really a nice guy and wants you to succeed. Probably the best out of all the calc professors. His exams are always problems taken from the homework, which is nice.

He is an interesting guy and he really knows Math. He answers student questions well and he is flexible for office hours. I would take him again. You can't afford to miss class, by the way.

(Calc 1) Calculus is awful, but he manages to explain it in a way that makes it actually understandable. A lot of the homework is online, which can be a pain, but he'll go over different problems in class or talk to you after class if you need help. I hate math, but I'd definitely take him again.

I had Dr. Caulfield for Honors Calc 1. This was a very challenging class because each student would teach the sections. He only taught the at the very beginning of the semester. We also had four group projects, which you only have two weeks to complete. I also had never taken calculus, so it was especially difficult for me. You have quizzes daily.

I usually struggle with math and I had not previously taken calculus, but he is a great teacher. there is a lot of webwork assigned (Online math problems) but he gives you weeks to do it. The problems in class are a lot harder than the problems on the tests so acing the tests is fairly easy. his reviews sessions also help tons! highly recommend.

One of the best math teacher's I've had. Good at explaining the material, and although the HW questions are really hard he makes his quizzes and tests easy and not overwhelmingly long to make up for it. Highly suggest him for Calculus.

He gives assignments on problems that we never learned how to do!! in a group of four people and hours later still could not figure out problems! the whole class basically worked together, it was ridiculous. bad experience

I have him for Honors calculus and he is ok. He gives us group projects to do and takes off lots of points if you have any writing/grammar mistakes so that part makes people angry. He is a pretty good teacher though, he obviously knows what he is teaching and he will usually help you if you ask him questions.

Had him for 6 classes. For recommendation, he had nothing good to say about me. All he wrote that I has a B average student and ranked in the middle of the class, listed the clases I had with him, and that I missed 3 classes in all his classes. A recommendation that would get me nowhere! All other professors gave me AWSOME recommendations. Hater!

I took him for Calc 4. By far my favorite math professor here. I've had Cedzo, Hamlett (blow off), and Dietz too. Liked Cedzo too tho, but Caulfield is far better at explaining. Tests are not easy bc it is calc but they are fair. And Caulfield is way, way better at explaining than Dietz too. If you have the choice take CAULFIELD.

Provides book which is totally useless. All the work required is from the book, but the book is quite possibly the worst math history text ever written. Example, a chapter talks about Egyptian method then a question (which he will assign) says "Find the answer using the Babylonian method" which it does not talk about. Every question is like this.
