I thought this was going to be an easy class, I am a film major and need this in order to go to University Park. This is going to drop my grade! You have to read the book and go to every class. And if you don't plan on renting EVERY movie you watch and re-watching it don't bother taking this class! THIS IS A WASTE OF LIFE!

You actually have to go to the classes, read the book, and take GOOD notes. I thought it would be easy but it brought down my GPA. Unless you are a film major, stay away. However he knew his stuff and was interesting.

Really hard class. Extra credit movies aren't worth enough points unless you go to ALL of them. Movies are older. Unless you're really into cinema theory don't take this class. Thought it would be cake, think again. Not then nicest guy outside of class. Pretty strict. Don't skip movies, or you're screwed.

Don't be like all the other people who skip his class and still think they can pass. If you actually go, stay awake for the majority of the movie, write down half of what he says, & study a little bit, you can easily get an A or B. Half the questions on the test are common sense, and he curves as well. Just don't be an idiot & skip all the time.

He enjoys movies and knows all about them. Gives you one or two easy points on the tests, which are multiple choice. Actually buy the book and look at it before the test and you'll be good. I found this class very interesting. It opens you up to a lot more movies that you would never think to watch. Highly Suggest for ART gen. ed.

One of the worst professors I have ever had. Horrible teacher, tests are on his opinions and stupid stuff from movies. Curves are ridiculous and only meant to help people failing. All he cares about is sci fi crap, pick up a copy of his alien K9 taking over the world book, get it signed by him. He's a famous author might be worth money....NOT.

Studied harder for this class than others, and ended up still being my worst grade. He doesn't give any notes, just a few random things on the chalk bored. tested on movies we watched and on his lectures. Dont take this class unless you are going to rent every movie after you watch it in class

I took his class last semester and I got an A. Why? Because I read the book and I bought the movies. The class does require you to read the text. Pay attention to what he says. If it's unique, write it down. I enjoyed having him as a teacher. He really knows what he's talking about. But he does require you to think and do work.

Really strange guy and i dont just mean his personality either...mad freaky looking up close. So long as you go to his class, watch the movies and go to the extra credit movies on sundays (he adds 8 pts to your final grade!!!) you will get an A no problem

I wouldn't recommend this class to anyone who plans on majoring in Comm. This guy will give you false hope for doing well. I have more knowledge on communications than anyone I know, I was on the video announcement team for my High school and a independent study under my comm teacher and I am just hoping for a "C" right now. This guy is all over the place. He asks the most detailed questions on tests. For example, a question will say, "True or False: I said this in class, ..." It forces you to remember EVERYTHING. He almost treats the class as a joke, which forces students to as well.
