Comment:

By far one of the worst teachers at the school, she has proven completely unhelpful and incompetent as a teacher, teaching by reading out of the book and discouraging her students and refusing to push them. Having paid no attention the whole chapter, you can do perfectly fine on tests by studying the night before.

Doctor Walker is a better musician than she is a flutist. She has an understanding of the concepts that should be taught in lessons (i.e. tone, articulation, performance practice), but does not push her students hard enough to motivate them to reach their full potential. If she would be tougher with her students, she would be a better teacher.

Very easy class, quite boring, but you have to study the CD's a lot for her tests. She is a really nice person, very helpful and accommodating. Basically, she understands that Mus 100 is for non-majors.

I couldn't believe how full of **** THIS CLASS WAS.She was never in her office so it was impossible to ask her anything.No matter how hard I tried I kept getting bad marks on her quizzes.I got a bad grade.She was the worse teacher I ever had

This has been the most horrible experience of my life!I was in a classroom filled with music majors who were just reviewing their stuff,so she went too fast. She was never avalible either,I never had one absence in her class and tried very hard and got a terrible grade.If you are not a music major do not go near her.

She is super! SOOOO helpful!! And very clear in her explanations!! Available for extra help, but not necessary if you come to class. She doesn't give alot of quizzes or tests, and the HW if there is any is easy and only helpful! NOT USELESS!! No reading basically!! Also very understanding and sweet!

dr. walker is a cool teacher. the class wasnt easy but it wasnt very hard either. just pay attention and make sure you buy the book bc she works straight from it. she lets you go see concerts for extra credit which is cool too. good class to take with her.
