Dr. S really knows his stuff. If you are a mature student and do the work, you'll do well. If not, you'll get behind quickly. I learned more about the earth than I ever imagined. Fun class and you'll learn tons!

Nice guys, but makes it impossible to tell what's on the tests. Nothing tested on is emphasized or explained (RARE exceptions). Makes you know people and random specific details - overall concepts never tested on. Labs are just busy work. Make sure you have the Atlas and books at the beginning of class.

He'll treat you like an adult and ask you to do homework outside of class. If you did it, fine. If you do not, you'll struggle. Not for the meek - he has high expectations, but is loaded with information. Not an easy A by a longshot, but if you want to actually learn something, take his class.

I've never encountered a teach so horrible. He goes into this big speech the first day about having classes structured towards discussion and then proceeds to lecture non-stop through every our of both lab and lecture time. BE WARE. Labs are long and extremely pointless.

I had Schultz for his online weather class. I had not taken an online class before but he made us attend a mandatory meeting, which was so helpful! I immediately knew this class was well organized. Helped me get an "A" in the IST Gen. Ed. lab course. Awesome prof!! Loved what he taught us about meterology. Now THIS is a useful class...

Schultz' class definitely dealt me a hand I hadn't expected. The tests are terrible, especially the final; at some point, this guy had the bright idea that it would be a good idea to give a CUMULATIVE final even though the amount material we covered was about three years' worth. Quizzes nearly every class, so don't think about blowing off too often

I took an online GEO 101 class from Dr. Schultz. He's so organized and comes off as a bit stern, but he is approachable if you sit down with him. However, he won't chase after you if you are failing. In short, be ready to work really hard. I did not experience any favoritism and I heard he got a teaching award. I liked him.

Awful. Clearly biased against students in the political science field. Has favorites, and if you are not, grades you by a different requirement than on the syllabus. Known to blatantly insult students. Stay away! full of busy work. Most likely will not learn anything! much of the faculty and staff not too fond of him either.

Don't be fooled by the past posts. He doesn't really care about you or your life outside of class. He's not understanding at all. He expects you to know everything. I took this online and it was not worth the "luxury" of not attending class. Crazy amount of work. Beware - not worth the work for the class credit.

Dr. Schultz is difficult to pin down. On some days he can be the best of teachers, eager to help out and fun to be around, but on other days he can be very frustrating and difficult to follow. He also thinks his tests are easy; don't be fooled, they can be extremely difficult.
