If I had to describe him in one word it would be "goofy". That stated he is a very good teacher, if you need help - whether or not he is your teacher - you will get it. If you are willing to put the work in he will make sure you get it. He uses words that through some people off, like "puppy" and "massage", but don't worry about it.

I was not impressed by his use of phrases such as "That's gay" or "I'm retarded,sorry." If he is educated enough to be a math professor, he should never use phrases like that, especially in class. If I hadn't had such a good highschool math teacher I never would have passed his class. He isn't approachable and he explains very poorly.

Dr. Anderson was always very willing to help, and I thought he explained things very clearly. He tends to overuse the words "massage" and "puppy," to describe math problems, which can be a little disturbing. He gets very frustrated when students don't try very hard. This was all in Calc 2 though, he might be different in non-major classes.

He is very organized, but doesn't always have the warmest personality. You'll either love him or hate him! He really knows his stuff and can be helpful, but he isn't very welcoming and isn't very approachable.

Do not take him! He is also the worst teacher I have ever had, as far as explaining and helping students. If you already know college algebra, you'll be fine, but if you need to actually learn anything, think again!
