When I went into Dr. Klein's class I thought this was going to be the most boring class this semester. I was wrong. Nothing is online or through power points, so I expected it to be; however, if you listen to the way he talks and presents the material, you'll be fascinated. Get permission to record and do so, then just sit and listen to his lecture

Comment:

Dr. Klein is a genius! Really, he knows so much about history but he is also so kind and down to earth! He uses purely lecture and that is tough for some people, but once you learn how to take notes in class you will enjoy it and learn a lot! I always looked forward to his class, and he is always there to help you when you need it!

Comment:

I am usually horrible at social studies, and started the year hating history. Dr. Klein lectures the whole class... no powerpoints or anything, so you have to pay attention, but he is so easy to listen to. He's super funny and relates the material to everyday life. He can get off topic at time, but he has taught me many life lessons too.

I went into this class hating all the history classes I have ever taken. After being in Dr. Klein's class for a few days I began to love going to this class everyday. He makes everything easy to understand and really keeps you engaged. He is also hilarious which helped me to stay more focused and excited to come to class.

Fantastic human being #1. One of the most intelligent men I've ever met. Has a servants heart to match the brain. Has a passion for history and political history. Don't expect to show up and check out. You are responsible for your learning and your grade. Show up willing to work and you'll succeed. Not you'll get an A but you'll succeed at life

Comment:

Klein was a VERY good teacher! Skipping class is not a good choice, because you miss out on important info, & students get bonus points added to one test grade at the end of the semester if they have perfect attendance. You really have to pay attention to his lectures and keep up with the vocab from the textbook, but if you do, the tests are easy.

I loved Dr. Klein's class! It was certainly difficult. You have to constantly pay attention to him in order to learn and pass his tests (which are quite difficult). But he is super sweet and will help you in every way he can.

This class is great for someone with a full plate, because there are four tests and thats it. No homework or quizzes, just manageable tests. The key to the class is taking notes and paying attention and you will be fine. If you miss class, it could be really hard to catch up since the test material is 80% from the lecture.

GREAT TEACHER!! Very smart but also savvy to modern culture. Makes it very easy to understand and even though it is just lecture-styled he makes it very interesting. I feel like I get a lot smarter every time I'm in his class.

Dr. Klein spoon-feeds you the information that he will test on. He is extremely knowledgeable and he does a great job of presenting history with a christian history included. He is a great man who loves what he does.

Dr. Klein is one of the most knowledgeable people I know. i highly recommend for anyone that wants to learn and easily get an A! He lectures and hands out a note outline that tell syou exactly what he expects for his tests. Tests are all multiple choice including the final. Occasionally he will throw in a few fill-in0the blank.

Hard tests but he is a good teacher and he gives good lectures. Have to write whatever he says in class because it will come out in the tests, and the quizess comes out from the textbook. Use movies as reference with the history

I had always gotten C's in my history classes in high school, but I took Klein and I loved it! I think he's super easy. I'm usually a visual learner and he doesn't use powerpoint BUT I learned even better bc I really paid attention! He's the best! I liked him so much I'm taking him again! Oh and he loves to reference to movies! Which is so cool!

I would have liked his class much more if he would have used power points and was more entertaining. He is by far the most boring history teacher ive had while at Harding and some of his views (which many dont have educational or religious backing) have completely annoyed me and personally I wont take him ever again unless I have to STUDENTS BEWARE

Best teacher I have ever had. He presents the material as clear as I have ever heard it. I felt as if I was listening to stories from the past. It never felt as if he was lecturing. You had better go to class because everything is lecture-based, and there are no power points. Somewhat difficult, but well worth what you learn and get out of it.
