Kevin is a fantastic Professor. He is always available to assist students in their work and will give personal, honest critiques if you wish for a second opinion. He is very talkative and can go off on a tangent, BUT only when he is left without feedback on the lecture at hand. His classes are not for the easily offended OR conversationally timid.

You know how sometimes you don't really appreciate a class until it's over? That's what happened with me. I took his class 3 years ago. I thought Kevin hated me and I resented him for it (and gave him one of the bad reviews on this site (sorry)), but in retrospect he really pushed me and made me grow more than almost any other professor I've had.

Seriously, don't waste your life. Kevin Labadie almost made me leave MICA, because he is just that unhelpful. Gives non-challenging high school level assignments that are as cliche as can be, and then spends forever on tangental nonsense in crits. He's not a teacher, he's a second rate artist wasting his students time and money.

Keven is an amazing teacher. Lots of opportunity for open dialog and back and forth. You should be ready to defend your work but he sees a lot of things that other profs miss. Highly recommend his class.

I have a hard time speaking up in this class, mainly because he will not stop talking. His critiques are never very specific. Also, Kevin definitely has favorite students. I'm not one of them.
