McDermott is an interesting guy. Yes he is abrupt, however he knows robots inside and out. He demands respect and forces you to learn hands on with the "ro-bits" but will help you along. Very easy grader. He enjoys creativity and outside-the-box thinking. Don't be late and don't talk back.

Mcdermott is not helpful while teaching or during labs.Unclear lectures,disorganized,hard to follow.Keep's changing requirements from students during labs.Harsh grader.No room for creativity.Not helpful during office hours.Rude and snnoby.Hates students who are late. Very inflexible.Everything has to be his way or else he will give you a bad grade.

Good teacher, if you can't get a A in this class you shouldn't be in college. Lectures are pretty boring but labs were interesting. Treat the guy with respect and you will do well. He curved the hell out of the tests and no one got below a C on them. Overall, good guy.

In the beginning , I thought this guy was good but later at the end I assumed wrong. Hes very narrowminded ,doesnt really know the real sense of creativity at all. His exams were stupid, you have to write down every single word and figure he says in class
