Definately agree on the comment about exams being all over the map! You can only count on MySocLab for these exams--and that ONLY! 75% of your exam will come from it. Other than that, never miss lecture if you want to be totally prepared. And you can miss more than three classes--they tried to enforce it, but it didn't work out.

He's a nice guy and really enthusiastic, but it's so ridiculously boring and he isn't very clear. Lectures are boring and the book sucks. He also takes attendance in lecture, and you can only miss three. His tests aren't super related to the material, so it can be hard to study.

nice guy, ok movies, but the lectures are a snore usually. The lab days are really an easy way 2 keep ur grade up, show up, write 1 page, participate and get 10 points, its that easy. The book is just as unclear as he is, find a study partner and use them cuz u may not understand the work otherwise. u really wont get 2 no him in such a big class.

Lectures are SOOO boring. ipod is a must. his tests are all over the map. some questions heavy on book, some on lecture, some on powerpoint, some on movie, some for stuff we didn't even learn. Take practice test on mysoclab.com. Thats the only advice i have 4 u.

Isn't that bad of a guy, but wanted to start out intro. to sociology with a book he normally reserved for another higher class. Discussion days are cool, but the lectures are boring. Smart guy and doesn't like to what he deems as simple things.

I didn't really learn a lot from that class, but some of the discussions were interesting. I think he was a little too concerned with his students liking him, so he backed down a lot when he shouldn't have had to.
