Professor Pask is wonderful. He made Spenser interesting, which is something I didn't think was possible. He's accessible outside of class and is always willing to go above and beyond to help you succeed. If you're looking for an extremely knowledgeable prof with incomparable patience and kindness, this is your guy.

A very quirky teacher. Reading material such as Chaucer, Sir Gawain and the like can usually be very tedious and boring. However, Pask's intricate knowledge of the material, combined with his lighthearted humour, creates an engaging learning environment. Apparently his Shakespeare class is incredible. TAKE HIM!

Comment:
Professor Pask is a hidden gem at Concordia. He's quirky, a little goofy in lectures, but he's real and honest, and most appreciated. I have been waiting my undergrad to take his Shakespeare course and I do not regret it. His essay topics are sometimes too vagueuninteresting, but he is always there to clarify things and help out. Recommend him.

Amazing professor. For my first semester in University, I was glad to have had him. He is interesting and he values the student's opinions. He has an odd sense of humour that makes the lectures even better. If you participate and come to class, you'll do well. I can't wait for Shakespeare with him as I won't take it with any other prof!

A friendly, easygoing prof and a fair marker. Not true that he only tests you on the notes: he expects some horizontal thinking on the exam. This was my second course with him and he's proven dependably awesome: lectures are interesting, you just have to commit to them (read the texts and ask questions!).

Thoroughly enjoyable. For a grad class on Shakespeare this course was relaxed, comfortable and encouraged discussion. I consistently wanted there to be another hour added to the class as the discussions were so captivating and helpful. Pask is charismatic and friendly and very helpful during office hours. Absolutely my favorite class.

Probably one of the most monotone, dry lecturers in the department. Nonetheless, he is helpful and easily approachable (was willing to stop and talk about the class in the halls, and outside of office hours if you catch him). A good prof overall, just a bit boring in lectures.

Comment:
If you have a basic knowledge of the class, you might like him as he's very well read but pulls a lot of random information which might or might not be relevant to the class/exam. I really disliked being unchallenged in terms of the psychological and philosophical aspects of the readings... also, beware of his monotone voice!

I like him. 2nd class with him and it's true: Go to class, take good notes and you'll do well on the exam. Very approachable and flexible with essay topics. True, lots of lulls, uhms and ahs during lectures. However, I think he allocates for active class participation unlike other profs whose class structure is very tight. Encourages interaction.

Dr. Pask is an extremely knowledgable Shakespeare scholar and very helpful during office hour chats. He is not a dynamic lecturer; content is delivered slowly. His lectures don't seem super prepared, but are still very coherent. Each class includes video. He looks for specific "right" answers in essays and exams.

I took his brit lit up til 1660 class and I enjoyed it very much. I think he's a good teacher and attempts to be entertaining. The workload isn't huge and the class is quite entertaining. He is able to read Chaucer aloud and do the voice and everything... no complaints from me...

re to the previous remark: of course he bends over backwards, he has noone else to help. I couldn't possibly understand why someone would want his help with something as crucial as graduate work. Avoid this professor like the plague! He has absolutely nothing to offer. I don't understand how he is allowed to teach at a university level, if at all
