She is self-centered, pretentious, and doesn't have space to value students' ideas (some of which are thoughtful than her own). Sometimes she uses gimmicky course titles to attract students, but she is NOT a knowledgeable and compassionate mentor in any sense.

Kim gives decent feedback on assignments, and is very approachable outside class. She can be a stickler for attendance, so definitely show up. The readings are kind of a joke.

Kim was terrifying at first, but once she warmed up, she's totally nice. She knows her stuff and she's tough on you, but you can trust her judgment.

Kim has an amazing mind. She's intelligent, engaged, and energetic. Full of ideas. Very approachable, gives lots of feedback, would be an excellent committee chair/member. I loved all the different speakers, but didn't always find the reflection/discussion class periods as helpful. Lots of reading but most of it's interesting.

Okay class, Kim is very enthusiastic and has some great ideas. At times the readings can be draining, but the professors who came into lecture were great. Not sure how useful the course is for everyone though.

Nearly unapproachable if you don't fully agree with her. Disagreeing is met with severe repercussions. Not the least bit lenient. The most commonly used phrase in the class was, "I feel that." The class was about analyzing personal feelings in the readings and in the discussions (with little or no facts). The class description was misleading.
