Kim Chow is amazing not only did he get me through 124 but he also helped me with my 126 class even though he wasn't teaching it. I don't know where I would be without him. He is an absolute blessing! HE is the best Phus prof on campus by far.

Excellent prof all around, spunky and energetic during class (although teaching a bit fast, but gave enough examples) while being helpful and patient in office hours. I went to ask for help every week, and it gave me a huge leg up in the midterm and finals. Great personality too, easy to get along with and befriend.

Funniest guy ever. I am honestly terrible at physics and just needed this course to fulfill a requirement; I would've never passed without him. He has really flexible with his office hours and would wait in his office until you could make it to see him. If you're stuck on a question he will really guide you through the problem to help you solve it.

His accent is not really that bad. He talks pretty fast and moves through the content quickly so you have to be on top of things. The assignments and midterm are quite challenging, but his class has a reputation of performing way better on the consolidated final.

Kim Chow made me enjoy going to class! His midterm and final exam was multiple choice, which has its pros and cons but overall a great prof! He genuinely cares about your success and wants you to do well in the class, which is why he usually stays after class to help students. If you're willing to put in the extra work, you will get a decent grade.

Dr. Chow is a great professor! He is lecture heavy so I would recommend attending class, as not everything is online. Textbook is not mandatory, but I found the questions in the book extremely helpful and very comparable to the questions seen on his midterm and final. He is funny, and accessible outside of class. Definitely would recommend!

Great Professor. You can tell he genuinely loves to teach. His class also had higher midterm marks than other phy130 profs (from what Ive heard)! The only con I have is that at times when he talks fast it is somewhat difficult to understand as he has a but of an accent, but he is almost always available rightafter class for any questions you have.

Kim Chow's lectures were good, and are easy to pay attention in. His teaching is fine, however he goes very fast and is a bit disorganized. He is rather accessible out of class and his office hours are very valuable to go to. I found the midterm to be quite difficult, however the final was definitely easier.

Such an amazing and respected teacher, his lectures are fast by they get the point across and he makes sure to do examples. Assignments were really difficult at times but they definitely prepared you for the midterm and final, unlike other Phys130 profs. And if you don't understand anything he's even better one-to-one in his office hours!

He was hilarious and made class bearable to attend, although it was a 9am class. Tough course though and required lots of individual effort

Probably the best prof that teaches PHYSICS 130 his notes are organized and his handouts are very helpful. Also, his midterms are very fair and similar to the online assignments, every question on there was seen before on assignments or practice exams. I recommend going to his office hours if youre struggling , and he can be helpful

Chow being funny doesn't take away from his disorganized lectures. Doesn't post any notes online and gives you multiple handouts per class, which is hard to keep organized. Sometimes difficult to understand. Midterm exam is 13 mc q's and very difficult. All in all, not terrible, but I definitely have better profs.

Professor Chow is a good teacher. Whilst he can be a bit hard to understand at times with a thick accent, his manner of teaching and enthusiasm for the class more than makes up for it. However, be warned that the course is rather difficult, to say the least...

Funny, but goes and talks too fast, could've gotten past his accent if he wasnt going fast(majority of the class didnt understand him) and isn't good at answering questions because he over complicates the answer to your question. I had to start watching Roger Moore's online videos. Roger Moore is another phys prof.

Very energetic, and his handouts are user-friendly and very helpful. He was somewhat hard to understand at first but only for maybe a week. Several of my friends from other lectures attended his classes because they found him to be much better than their profs.
