She's a good person, but a very distracted lecturer. Tends to assign homework on a whim, often mid-sentence. Once she yelled at me because I didn't know how to fix the really old projector in her room. The class that I've been taking has been a lot of focus on grammar and francophone culture, with not a lot of practice for actually speaking.

Took one of the more lower-intermediate french courses at McGill: Mme was great, and definitely cared about her students. If you needed anything she would help outside of class time. Language classes are HEAVY in general, and she only spoke in French in class which made it difficult to learn content sometimes or know what was assigned.

Mme Miller-Sanchez is a very caring professor from whom you can learn all sorts of fun facts. She knows everything about the French language and many other topics. She can be quite vague about her expectations for presentations and tests, which is frustrating at times. If you do the homework, participate and actually try, a good mark is possible.

Mme. Miller-Sanchez was a fantastic lecturer and really helped me grow in my first year at McGill. My top tip would be to participate - she really seems to use participation with regards to grading. Also make sure to use her office hours - she had great feedback for me to really improve as the year went on. Merci Madame!

I had her for a year and she is amazing, I absolutely loved her. She is always happy and positive, and is passionate about teaching. She brings in a lot of interesting activities, articles, news, and events happening in Montreal. She is always happy to talk to you during her office hours, a very sweet person. She is very helpful and encouraging.

I have had 3 different profs at McGill for french courses and she was by far the best. She explained subjects well and I felt engaged because I think she genuinely enjoys what she does. She is also very motivating. Only problem was she can be unclear at times when assigning work which can sometimes come back to bite you.

Worst. Prof. Ever. Unless you enjoy sitting in a desk and wanting to blow your brains out. Oh and if you like profs that favour certain people, and then make everyone else's life miserable.

Look, here's the thing. If you're taking her for 207, where she'll speak English, then great. She speaks English perfectly. But in 211 where she babbles on in french and rambles on without any coherence or structure, it's extremely frustrating. Seriously, you learn the randomest****. I know how to say plumber in French. Yippee.

She's amazing. The jolliest woman alive. Also, when she speaks english it's hilarious because she does it without any french accent.

im learning what i learned in high school, but for some reason, she complicates everything. she doesn't have an actual lesson plan and just babbles for 2 hours. watch out though, she tests you on her musings.

She's an odd teacher, one day she's encouraging and delightful, the next day she's snappy and short-tempered. I'm not sure what to think of her, she's always so two-faced, and while she can be a great teacher and someone you'd really love to learn from, she can also be a bit... mean.

I still have nightmares about this woman. She creeped me right the hell out. Her english accent is something out of a horror movie.I give her props for getting us to explore montreal through the presentations, but I didn't pay for a 3 credit course to take a metro ride to the biodome. Eeenh. C+

Okay, yes the woman is from Mars. This is true. And her French accent is strangely better than her native English one. But she is a fun teacher who makes the class exciting. Recommended.

Great teacher. Fun, great sense of humor, knows how to captivate the class. Passionate about the subject and doesn't teach mechanically by following every little detail in the course outline. Her stories and fun-facts are irrelevant but add a whole new dimension to the class. I love it.

I found her to be disorganized, and really didnt get anything out of the class. Its mostly based on writing skills, with hardly any speaking. I was very disapointed by this class. I would only reccomend it to people who are already good at writing and dont care to do anything else.

You guys complain too much. You're not at university to learn hard facts, but valuable life lessons/skills. That's what she gives. She ties in interesting events in the real world with the course. Her enthusiasm is contagious & she's never dull. Loved her

Maybe I have a different Sandra Miller-Sanchez, but the one I have is great. She's funny and always very excited about what she's doing. My french has improved in leaps and bounds since joining the class and I usually enjoy being in class.
