I'm taking Intro to Wom. studies w/Kim. I was really indifferent about this class and a bit put off by that one poor rating she recieved. But she's amazing, she can go on little feminist rants but she's so funny and her discussions are very enjoyable! I have learned so much from her and even look foward to her class! Two thumbs way up.

the class is very repetitive, and moves at a slow pace. but i think every single person at purchase should take a women studies class. esp the males. practically every answer for the take home midterm and final is handed to you on a platter if you take notes and go to class. a very easy class as long as you go, take notes,read and do the journals!

She sucks. What a witch. For a feminist and women's studies professor she needs some big time work on her issues with women...she doesn't like them very much, AND IT SHOWS. Wear lipstick to class and you just might get a D. Talk about narrow minded, pedagogic hedgemony. Plus, she's boring as hell.

the only problem is that she's susceptible to sickness, and doesn't let sick kids come to class, even if it's just a cough. If you so much as sniffle, she sends you out. this is actually a bad thing, as you can end up missing A LOT of important stuff in class and then do poorly on exams.
