Kim is an unusual (read: interesting) guy and does a pretty fair job of keeping material interesting, but he's also very egocentric and tends to dwell on issues of limited importance. He does make up for this by preparing you for exams, but you're not likely to retain much from his class.

Comment:
Pretty good guy but i'm think he grades too easy. I'm worried that my writing will get ripped apart in upper level classes. Otherwise, Kim's funny. Really wants his students to know whats going on in the world . Glad I took it with him though, it was fun discussing current events. Take in the summer and discussions will take up most of classtime.

Kim is who he is. I've had him for several classes and I actually prefer him over anyone else in the journalism department. He's one professor that you can honestly say you never know what you'll hear next.

I think the only positive comments on here are ones Kim has come on and put himself. I don't know who in their right mind would give this guy higher than a 2. He is a miserable person and tries to make anyone the same. Outside of the classroom he is worse, don't ever e-mail him anything or he will rip you a new one for NO reason.

Took the dreaded JLMC 201 class with him and it really wasn't that bad. He kept everything light and laid back. Had to write a story every class period (2.5 hours long by the way) but it really wasn't all that bad.

Very irritating professor with awful test questions. He talks about things that really don't pertain to the class or aren't of any real importance. Your grade will probably depend on how well you interpret his test questions; it's hard to tell if they're trick questions or not.

He is ****, the worst part is that his curves are rediculous. It is an easy class, but he must know it because he maked the curve to have weird intervals. I don't think hes teaching JL MC again though.

I had Kim for 101 as well as 201, I think he puts on a an act and definitely favors the girls in the class. I had to go to a funeral during 201 and he was VERY rude about it, I had to drop the class or else he would give me a significantly lower grade. This changed my whole view on Kim, good professor but overall jerk when you have to deal with him
