He is a very funny and nice guy! I would suggest taking him. However he does grade papers kind of hard. A LOT of reading, if you have to take a philosohpy class he is a good choice, tries to spice up a pretty boring subject!

Exams were difficult, unfair grading, and the readings are the worst books I've ever read. One of the most difficult gen. ed. classes at LVC. Avoid this class and professor if possible.

Seriously one of my favorite professors on campus. He's always willing to help and makes you think outside of the box. Definitely knows his stuff and will engage in meaningful conversations regarding religion. Classes aren't too hard.

J.Rob really makes you think. And while he has strong views on religion, politics, and culture, he remains open minded and welcomes opinions from those who disagree. He is a GREAT professor. One of the best at LVC.

classes are a JOKE, but it would be nice if he learned the students names and didn't have personal conversations with his fav. students during class and ignoring the rest of the class. thinks religion is as important to everyone as it is to him. i was going to pass-fail, but why throw away such an easy A?

Very easy class, course consists of ~3 papers and 3 Celebrity Jeopardy -styled exams. Staying awake and studying for an hour or two before each exam is all that's required. His class is intellectually engaging, requiring critical thought and phenomenological epoche. If you refuse to think, avoid!
