When I had Stroud for Bio 1 lab she was not one of my favorites. For Micro, it seemed like she was totally different. I appreciated that she would correct your lab reports if you turn them in early. Neither of the tests are too difficult. For the midterm you get to use your notes. The final was not too in depth. Make sure to come to class.

Despite all the negative comments about Stroud I believe that she really helped me out a lot. As long as you do the homework, there is no reason you should not pass the class. Her mid term was super easy and almost based off the study guide. The minute per question freaked me out, but you already know the answers so you do not even need a minute!

Lectures tough fast advanced printread notes prior & record lectures. Tests: tougher. rushed time limit. diagrams not clearly marked. She mixed up stickers on models twice. Didn't allow more time for her error. pay close attention. Counts off for spellingshe teaches you the incorrect spelling. Taught incorrect muscle names. Will not take again.

Very rude! makes fun of students and encourages them to quit. Rushes through lecture. Told my class the wrong names for muscles and counts off for spelling even though she had things spelled up to three different ways on handouts. I am a good student, but almost failed because her lab was so horrid.

This. Woman. Is. HORRIBLE. I noticed the reviews for her were like 5050, so I figured I'd give her a shot. The first day she came in, I knew I'd made the wrong decision. She is SO RUDE. She thinks she is better than everyone, won't help us on the labs, and just walks around the room clicking her heals. Most rude, disrespectful teacher ever.

I heard horror stories about Ms. Stroud. I had her for Microbiology lab and she was wonderful. She does write notes on the board, but encourages you to either take pictures with your cell phone or write them. She is always willing to help. Attendance is important if you want to learn. I would take her again.

She gives two tests'. Both test are over nothing she has talked about. All you do in her class are worksheets and labs. She doesnt talk & she will not explain anything, but if for some reason you can get her to talk she acts better than you and acts like a know it all. She's very rude, not helpful, and her test are very hard bc she didnt teach it.

Horrible teacher. Wastes at least an hour every lab making you copy notes as she writes them on the board. The notes/lecture are not needed for the lab anyways. She was described as a gustapo agent to our lecture prof. who was awesome. Her method for grading papers was wretched. But I did receive a 96/98 on midterm and final with lots of study

she expects you to know the stuff already, and uses the longest and biggest word possible for things that no one but a biology major should know. Her labs are easy. she rights everything she wants you to do right on the board, but walks around. she takes points off for everything, shes not too terrible, but she is kind of rude.i wont take her again

Ms Stroud is a great instructor who knows the material well. During lab time she makes it a point for everyone to know and understand the material. I had her for both A&P 1 and 2 and very glad I did.

Professor Stroud reads straight from the power points, word for word. She makes no effort to explain or clarify any of the material other than what you can read from power points. She is a nice lady but I am not sure teaching is the correct career path for her.

She is a terrible teacher! She teaches a lot at the eliz. campus so if you are basing your decision with location i would much rather drive to the main campus than to ever take her again. She grades papers wrong and if youre not aware she will count points off for nothing. A&P is a hard class no matter what and taking her will only lower your GPA

Comment:

She is easy overall. Her laps are fun if you know what you are doing. Her famous phrase is "SO" and it's annoying. She is very helpful. You only do 2 lab reports and they are fairly easy. Writing what she writes on the board is important but she has it typed so why not make copies, that gives more lab time. Overall she is nice, but kinda weird.
