Comment:

Fun class. She leads the labs at a bit of a slow pace, but she doesn't get mad if you work ahead, which is fine. If you show up and participate during the labs, you're pretty much set. Unfortunately due to fires this year we couldn't get to our lab report, though, so I can't review her on that. Rest of the class was good though!

Dr. K is an amazing teacher! She's very clear about what she wants & expects, offers loads of extra credit, & is great at explaining concepts. As long as you read the book, do the assignments & tests, and show up, you'll do fine. Dr. K is also super friendly, responds quickly to emails, posts study guides & lecture slides online. Highly recommend!

Dr. K is the most understanding teacher I've ever had. During the course I got into an accident and she was so understanding and helped me get caught up outside of class. I had her for lab and lecture and her class is fun. You have weekly hw and quizzes. 3 midterms and a board project. She offers extra credit. Do it all and you'll pass with an A.

Amazing teacher! She is easy going and academically rigorous. Lectures are so detailed that you don't even need to buy the pricey book. She shares what kind of special day everyday is and dispenses newspaper articles, samples, models in class. Available at any time, humor, and passionate. That's what I call a teacher.

Dr. K is one of the best professor I've ever had. I'm not the type of person to give feedback or rate anyone but if it comes to do it for Dr. K, then here I am. She gives great lectures. She's there too help you because she wants to make sure you understand the information. She is amazing! I'm looking forward to take the lab with her in the fall.

Dr. K is one of those rare professors that truly cares about her students and wants us to all do our best. Never did I look forward to 1.5-hour lectures as I did for her class! I was nervous taking this course as I was notorious for failing science classes, but I am SO glad I took Oceanography! Not only was it fun, it was very informative! :)

Hands down the most sweetest and easiest teacher you can take for any Ocean Lab or Lecture! Show up to class do the labs and you get to go home and get an A. No textbook, all the labs are printed before class.

She's such a sweet teacher. Funny too enjoys her job. She wants her students to pass and learn. She offers extra credit. Just do all the hw and try to at least pass the tests that are given. Extra credit will be your best friend. Loved her.

She is such an awesome professor! Literally the nicest one I've ever had for 2 1/2 years in college. NO SCIENCE is easy. As long as you put in the time, you'll get it and she'll use great examples to better help understand the topic. Most of lecture is on powerpoint slides she puts up on forums. She also lets you make up work .

(it's me who wrote on 5/28,but the site didn?t allow me to finish my review).She is sweet,helpful,knowledgeable & amusing.Even though the subject is challenging,I?m glad I took this class.I?d recommend taking this class only if ur not taking too many classes bcus the tests r tricky which involves lots of memorization.Oh & the extra credits r fun!

This is a fun class &u will definitely learn a lot,but by all means this is NOT an easy A like some people here r claiming.There is a lot of memorization involved. There r open note quizzes almost every class sessions & those same questions show up on the tests.Just memorize the powerpoint slides, homeworks, and the quizzes (that she returns back)

In my section, 34 students finished the class, there were 7 A's, 9 B's, 14 C's, 1 D, 3 F's. I thought it wasn't too labor-intensive though, and theres a lot of extra credit.(7.5% grade boost possible) I think if you put a good effort into the class you'll be fine. She was nice enough to me, but she did give one kid with an 89.85% in the class a B.

One of the best teachers I've ever had. I thought I was going to do horribly in this class but I did really well because she explains everything so clearly. Theres 3 big tests and really easy homework in between and she's always there to help you out if you need it. I would 100% recommend taking any of her classes.

Dr K is a great teacher. She really brings the subject to life. She is always willing to help you if you need it. She gives relatively quick and clear homework weekly, her tests are not easy but she gives such good lectures and such good study guides that as long as you study you'll be fine. Very good teacher! Enthusiastic and fun. She gives 3 midterms rather than tests and the third mid term is your final--non cumilative. Very good technique for a science class...not everyone's best subject.
