Dr. Moore knows geology top to bottom. He loved spelunking in his youth, and was A-plus in math and mechanical drawing. Any student today looking for a teacher who can lead you into the future, based on solid knowledge of reality and facts and understanding, take his course. Dr. Moore also can tell you how to use the clutch in a '65 Chevy Corvair.

You either have to go to class AND pay attention or read all the chapters, your pick. Other than that, it's a pretty easy class. Pick a fun/interesting topic for your paper. Like some fish of the abyss or something. If you take good notes, you should be golden... study the articles he sends you. Really nice guy. LOVES the ocean.

Oceanography--I took this class in the summer because it's supposedly easier then. The class was boring as can be, but he was a pretty easy grader overall. Moore is somewhat funny and nice as can be. He looks kind of like Colonial Sanders. Though the class can put you to sleep, it's definitely easier than any other science you can take for AXLE.

This class was generally pretty easy, but you need to go to class or get someone to take really good notes for you. He gives open-note online quizzes that are pretty easy if you had really good notes. class is generally pretty interesting, he knows a lot about geology and you can can tell he really loves it, and most people get a's or high b's

He such a nice professor. The subject matter is super boring but the class is not very hard at all and Professor Moore is so sweet that if you have to fulfill Liberal Arts Core requirements, this is a great class to take!

He is such a great professor, and his love of the subject made me decide to add geology as a minor! You need to pay attention in class, but if you do you will know how to answer all of his test/quiz questions. Also, if you show up for class, it will help boost your grade if needed.

Great professor who cares about his students. Didn't structure his class very well, so we didn't cover all of the material. Assignments are tedious but once you get the hang of it, you'll be fine. Overall, very good.

This class was despressing and I hated it. If you enjoy Geology its probably fine and he knows the material well, but it is nearly impossible to stay awake for the TR lectures. im just glad i got the cple out of the way. tests kinda hard, but Moore is very open with office hrs

The class was pretty easy. Dr. Moore knows that nobody in the room really gives a rat's ass about the ocean, so he keeps it pretty much to the point. But it is damn hard to stay awake for an hour and fifteen minutes.

He's a totally nice guy. And I was genuinely interested in some of the topics we covered. Tests are multiple choice and can be a bit tricky. Study details of large topics/concepts.
