Kristi Tyran is a very difficult person to work with. She is confrontational, any opinion you have that doesn't align with hers she takes as an attack or insult. No phones, tablets, or laptops are allowed in her class. She will mark you down in participation if she sees you on your phone. Avoid her class if you can, she should not be a professor.

Where do I start- I think she is an egomaniac. She clearly thinks she is the hottest thing since sliced bread. I missed the first day of class- which was syllabus day and she deducted 5% from my over all grade. I honestly think tyran is short for tyranny- I think she took on teaching so she couldn't bully kids and power trip. Get a real job!

Kristi is a decent professor. You'll have much better and you'll have some real doozies. She cares about her students and give a lot of feedback on the papers and assignments. 414 is a straightforward class that won't throw any curveballs. I learned a lot through my community project. Kristi can be off her own world at times. Read everyday for quiz

She is a nice lady but I didn't like a few things about her teaching style. Her quizes are based off of strictly the powerpoint slides and you can only get an A on them if you use the words that she likes. The class is not hard though if you do everything and have a good team to work with in the beginning.

Kristi Tyran is great teacher. She really does love teaching and will go so far out of her way to give you a good experience. She will read any paper prior to turning it in and tell you everything to do to make it an A paper. One of the most useful classes at WWU. I would take any other class with her. Great experience!!

I had Kristi Tyran for several classes while recieving my Bacholors in BA. By the time you enter Kristi's classes, you should be prepared for a business level education. In her classes that comes in two forms, one is lecture, and the other is independent reading. Both of which a good business person should welcome and continue after graduation.

I was duly unimpressed with Dr. Tyron. Her teaching style is confrontational at times - she does not like independent thought or thinking outside of a book. It is apparent that she has an overinflated sense of her own intelligence. It is obvious that she has low self esteem and feels threatened by opinions other than hers.

Where to begin...I know, horrible professor!! Absolutely no organization to the class. Tyran is incredibly unsure of herself. All I want to know is "what was I suppose to learn?" because I frankly can't remember being taught anything!! All I remember was her telling us how important the things she was suppose to be teaching are in our careers!

this class was an insult to me, and the MBA program. If i wanted to be treated like i was 5, i would have gone back to preschool. This class had the potential to be very useful. Mindless busy work and self-reflection does not give an MBA student an advantatg in the world. Grading is SUBJECTIVE, prof is unorganized, and does not take feedback well.

Only reason she has this job is her husband is a great prof & wouldn't have come to WWU if they hadn't offered her a job too. If you'd like to take a class from a former NFL linebacker who has no respect for her students and no ability to self-analyze or take feedback and is also oblivious to proper instructional techniques, this is your class.

TERRIBLE organization. One of the points of the class is to be able to communicate effectively. Unfortunately, the website isn't connected to Blackboard, her personal website does not have the correct information and handouts are the #1 form of communication. To top it off, she does not accept assignments via email.

What a waste of time. This is not an MBA class. We spent the whole quarter doing useless assignments with minimal actual feedback. Grading is totally subjective, so make sure to become one of her favorites or you'll lose points for ridiculous things. How she ended up teaching in the MBA program is a mystery

This class SHOULD be the cornerstone to the MBA program. However due to the incompetence of the instructing, these skills are not developed at all. This class is taught as though we were in Middle School. It is truly insulting. This class should NOT be part of the program in its current form. An utterly useless class filled with pointless busy work

This was the WORST class I've experienced during my MBA studies. The assigned work were very useless. She definitely has favorites and does NOT take feedback well. I believe more students complained about her. She is VERY VERY BIASED ON GRADING and NOT RATIONAL. She is definitely NOT a MBA PROFESSOR.

An excellent instructor with a fine sense of humor. I did not notice any favoritism towared myself or any other students. Subject matter was interesting and she just made it more so. Just do the assigned work and you'll do fine.
