She will absolutely berate your writing. But if you can stomach blunt criticism and actually listen to what she has to say, you will become better at what you do.

I took this as a hybrid and really liked it. We had a lot of group projects in the beginning of the semester and then started to watch documentaries and write papers on them. It was really easy and the classes were enjoyable because we either presented group projects or watched documentaries. All the tests we took were online too!

Simoes is straight to the point, she has tons of professional experience and knows what she is doing. If you can take constructive criticism than you can handle her classes. She cares and wants to see you do your best! She is always around for offic hours and is willing to give extra help! Definitely take her!

Anyone who had Simoes and didn't like her was one of the kids who didn't get a good grade in her class. She's a great professor who really prepares you for the real world. Her lectures are great. I would highly recommend her!

Simoes is not a good teacher very unhelpful and acts as if you are a burden when you request help. A lot of experience in p.r but doesn't put it towards her class. You will be assigned work every class that she doesn't explain and doesn't help. Shes a funny teacher because of her sarcastic remarks but when she doesn't help you the joke is on you.

She is one of the best professors I've had at Monmouth, and I take her for every class I possibly can. She is not an easy teacher and doesn't just hand out A's, but she is brilliant and and expert in the PR industry. Her assignments force you to think creatively. Her grading instructions are clear cut so make sure you follow! Any questions, go ask!

Simoes is hands-down one of the best professors I've had at Monmouth. If you don't have a sense of humor or appreciate sarcasm don't even think about taking her. Her grading criteria is specific, so if you don't follow it don't expect a good grade. Don't plan on missing classes, she doesn't believe in BS excuses.

Confusing assignment directions. Doesn't teach the textbook. Puts you into groups and makes you teach the chapters to the class. That said, she expects a lot from you, which will only help in the long run.

do not take her, too much work for a stupid class. its a hybrid and your expected to do a lot of work with no information. check ecampus at all times before she pulls a quick one on you. make sure the people in your class are ready for useless group assignments with no instruction by the professor. STAW AWAY

Avoid this teacher at all costs. I consider myself an intermediate writer, but she didn't like my style of writing and took points off if she didn't agree with certain phrase structures, sentences, or citations. Focused more on composition than she did actual class topics. Terrible teacher, terrible attitude. The entire class had similar sentiments

Horrible. We met once a week on Fridays and on that day, she assigned groups to present chapters in the textbook so she wouldn't have to teach it. Exams are all online but they're still hard because she doesn't teach and her papers? She grades extremely rough for an introduction class and writes "see writing center" on all papers.

Terrible. She didn't teach any of the material but made her exams extremely specific so they were really difficult. She was so unhelpful and sure she could be funny at times but most of the time she was just gossiping and plain mean. She also "forgot" we had class three times and just didn't show up. Avoid her, I know I will from now on.

She's hilarious and does know her stuff! She is an odd grader and doesn't always give full instruction, but take her. You will crack up in her class and feel free to ask her questions. She's a riot!

Simoes is funny, hot, and a master of the Public Relations profession. The one drawback to taking her class is that she doesn't teach the material. She will answer any questions you have about it, but her tests are on specifics that she doesn't go over in class. You're on your own, so make sure you READ the book and you'll be OK.

Every PR major should take 415 because you'll perfect your resume, cover letter, portfolio, and interview technique. Simoes is hysterical and my favorite prof in the comm dept!

All college classes should be run like Simoes runs hers - she prepares you for the real world experience you need, not wasting time reading a text book. She can be ambiguous at times, but she's still one of the best.
