He is deliberately incoherent and doesn't care if you understand him or not. Very approachable, but even if you ask for help you will b confused. Study groups are a must, together we put the bits of knowledge 2gether & made it work. About 50% of class attended study grp. With the paper,I don't know what I was talking about, but managed to get an A.

Man who knew someone could be so boring. Even worse is that he tries to be funny sometimes by speaking in a immature way, jeez how can I take the class seriously if he doesnt act it. Nobody goes to lecture and I just went to eat sushi I got for lunch. The movies are somewhat interesting though, you watch one movie very two weeks so its not bad.

Oh my god... I used to be ingterested in linguistics... what is this guy talking about? He makes you read useless books, and you cannot follow his lectures even if you tired because he goes off on tangents... and one tangent will lead to another, and another, and pretty soon you have no clue at all what he is talking about!

if u ever wana fall asleep w/out pills, go to one of his lectures. i basicly learned nothing during lecture and read the book and did well in sections and got an A.....plus he's got exam redemption so u have 2 be mentaly challenged not to get an A...

I hardly every attended lecture and still got an A by studying 2 days before the midterm and final. Both were extremely easy. Discussion classes very easy as well. I had to do simple powerpoint and reports where you didn't even have to read the book.

the most incapable prof I've had in 5 years of college. He's so smart that he can't put together a coherent sentence and you get maybe 10 mins of useful lecture each time. That, and an anthro major friend of mine was warned specifically against taking any class with him. I would've dropped the class

This teacher is a good guy and a very intelligent man, but he'll put you to sleep. I barely went to his class, got all of the notes online and still passed the class with an A. He reads entirely from his notes. This class is easy to pass, but definitely not worth going to the lectures.

Obviously not interested in the field, needs to retire. Easy course, designed to get you in and out with a minimum of hassle. If you want to really learn something, try another teacher, I wish I had!
