I will say he is a very interesting person, but this class is kinda boring. The only reason you should go to class is because he doesnt put his slides up on blackboard. The tests are kind of tricky, but not too hard.

He is an interesting person, but he uses his life experiences as examples of his lectures. He wants students to know everyone has a story if you will take the time to listen. The powerpoint notes are broad, but you have to read the book to get more details b/c he covers a lot of info. Exams are tough. But talk to Martin, he'll open up your mind.

Pointless. It's all the same 1st amend. stuff we've learned in all the other JMS classes, but he never gets to it because he goes on tangent after tangent. It's required, do the quizzes with the book online. Don't raise your hand in class.

Class is sort of boring but you dont really have to attend if you read the text thouroughly and understand concepts. Not that bad though, a lot of girls in class. If you get the right TA for your discussion section like Robin Goret you should be happy.

this class was soooo boring. i had no interest in it before and he certainly made me have no interest after. the material is hard to understand and when you ask for help he just says well this is the right answer, without explaining. its a core class and it sucks.

Sooo boring. I didn't learn anything in this class that I didn't know already. I probably took a total of 3 pages of notes the whole semester. All he does is scribble diagrams on the board and repeat himself endlessly. Read the book for an A on the tests
