Comment:

She lectures every day there are two midterms, one final, both are online. It's open notes and she covers most of what's on the tests. There's one written assignment, It's easy. She's a funny professor but the lecture is kind of boring. She hates electronics so don't take it out. Participate in class she'll like you. Easy if you take good notes

Comment:

Professor Kouri is a very nice lady who is very understanding, but is very unorganized. She takes attendance, but it counts for no points. She reads EXACTLY what is written on the slides, nothing more nothing less. The class is also alittle boring, but if you participate it can be enjoyable. Most people pass with little effort.

Her lectures are quite boring because she reads the powerpoint slides word by word. However, it is an easy A if you get familiar with the powerpoints before taking the midterm or the final.

Comment:

She's funny. The class itself was easy. You don't really have to read anything from the course reader because she discusses a lot of the topics in class. As long as you go to class, take notes, and do the online readings then you'll get an easy A. All of the tests are online too that's a plus.

The attendance is not completely mandatory but if you show up to class and pay attention, you won't have to go through the lectures later on. She gives you two midterms and a final, all online with open notes. She also gives a very helpful study guide, if you do that and use it on your test it is an easy A. She's a nice person, really knowledgeable

I honestly have no idea why she has terrible reviews. She made the lectures somewhat interesting but most of it was basic knowledge. ALL the lectures were online so if you missed a class you wouldn't fall behind. NO HOMEWORK!! just study the lecture slides and it was super easy. I got an A on all 3 tests.

WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS CLASS TO ANYONE!!!!! This professor bases her grade on a few things which are: 2 midterms, a final and a writing assignment. Grading system sucks because she does not give you points for attendance. Additionally, she reads of the board and her lectures are boring. She gets out of topic and talks about her personal life.

She is definitely not a good professor because she is her grading system sucks. Her grading system consist of 2 midterms, final exam and a writing assignment. Although, she does role call, the attendance does not count towards your grade; however, it is crucial for the students to go to her class because if not they are falling behind.

Professor Kouri is not a great professor to take. Every class she reads off of a powerpoint and interrupts only to go off topic and talks about her personal life. Very unfair grading; one paper, two midterms and a final. Would not recommend at all.

Professor Kouri a teacher who cancelled her first day of class and was late the next one. She then only read from her lectures on a slideshow.. word for word.. she would also veer off topic and tell stories of her own life. She is also not very open to opposing opinions and will ask for a copy of your "source."

Dr. Kouri is misunderstood. She is straight to the point and transparent when it comes to her style of teaching, but she does overall care for the student's success. She wants all of her students to be able to conceptualize the material and not just memorize. Though she is a tough grader, she is always available during office hours to assist you.

I have learned nothing about gender woman studies this entire semester in this class, a lot of her lectures are about econ. She gets off topic often and rants about irrelevant things every class. The tests are online but they're hard. She calls on you and asks you awkward questions and makes things uncomfortable often. 1/10 i do not recommend

Prof. K. was alright. She often rants a lot during the semester, mostly about her rich neighbors. 3 Tests, ALL easy & ALL ONLINE! How can you fail? She also provides a study guide so that's basically the exam. Don't bother purchasing the text, didn't use it once! EASY A, just not the greatest SOC. professor.

The most liberal professor I've ever had. Her tests are online, but not easy. Based on the power points (don't need the book). She tends to belittle her students if you ask a question which makes it hard to want to participate. If I never took her class again I wouldn't mind.

Comment:

The class consists of a term paper, 6 journal entries, crossword puzzles and a midterm and final exam (both online but not easy). Not the worst professor but also not the greatest professor. She reads off the Power Points a lot, and usually picks on the students who actually participate in class. A really nice person but tough grader.

Kouri was alright. She seems like such an extreme feminist that she's a misandrist. It was hard to agree with her sometimes. Overall however, the class was okay. A short paper, 2 exams and a final all online. She gives plenty of extra credit opportunities. She takes attendance but I honestly don't think it counts toward your grade. Lots of reading.
