Comment:

Day to day, the class was not difficult. But she was a tough grader on papers and tests were often tricky. Sometimes what we discussed in class was not anything near what we talked about in class. She was difficult to hear at times. I'm not sure if she takes off points for missing class.

Comment:

I enjoyed having Dr. Leap as a teacher. The essays required to write were difficult because she expected you to go into deeper meaning. The tests/quizzes were online and were not horrible. If you put in effort, you will be ok. The only frustrating thing about the class was that there were very little points. She gives extra credit though.

She definitely knows what she is talking about but sometimes it's difficult to follow along. You have to go into deeper meaning behind the material you are given. She is very passionate about the subjects covered.

Dr. Leap is an incredible treasure at SHU. Of course she takes religion seriously, this is not a part of her life, it is her whole life's work. If you care little about your subject, what the heck are you doing teaching it. It is not high school people, this is college. This women cares more for her students than any professor I have ever met.

The entire class was based on a timeline, but from the very begInning she would jump around all over the place. She would be difficult to understand if you were within her peer group.

Very hard teacher. You must have a passion to learn many details about religion and a good background to be successful. Tests are impossible and attendance is required or low grade. Mandatory weekend field trips are awful. Highly DO NOT recommend.

We read 3 books and tons of material online and material was all over the place, should have been classified as extensive writing class. Sorry, I love to learn but one can only take so much about Muhammad and because the class was all over the place I felt like I got nothing out of it. Aside from that she makes people feel really stupid.

Very nice woman. Struggles to convey what she teaches, but has a genuine concern for the progress of the class. She is SOMEWHAT difficult depending if you the student grasp religion and have taken religion classes before. As someone who has taken prior religion classes I fell that I learned a lot in her class.

Wonderful teacher! Her enthusiasm for the material was apparent. She always found a way to relate how the information is important in today's society. True, lectures were a little disorganized, but compared to some of the other professors at SHU, she's very good!

Very nice woman, but lacks a lot in the teaching department. She struggles to get her ideas across, and often doesnt know the answers. She is very unclear in descriptions and dates, and has, on more than one occasion, embarassed students in front of their peers. Won't take a class with her again.
