Great online professor. Clear rubrics and easy topics to write on. He gives you lots of freedom which makes the class enjoyable. Keep up with the work and discussion boards and you'll do great. I'm not a very good writer but did good in his class because he gives you a lot of freedom on what you choose to write.

Dr. Hochenauer was a great professor. His online class was organized amazingly. One of the best online classes I have taken. I would definitely take one of his online classes again. You do have to read and there is weekly discussions but it is easy. You have to stay on top of everything. He doesn't post grades but you can email, quick response back

Dr. Hochenauer is an amazing professor! I took one of his online classes and was presently surprised by how much fun I had (I also enjoyed the topic, so that helped). Dr. Hochenauer responded to emails in a timely fashion and was very helpful. I plan on taking another of his online classes this upcoming semester!

He's an wonderful kind teacher. He gives great feedback and is willing to work with you. If you are not for sure on something all you have to do is e mail him and e mails you back the same day. I took his fast track course and yes there is a lot of work, but it was a fast track. You have one group project that's so easy. you wont need a textbook.

He was great at responding to all of my emails and very understanding/helpful on each assignment. My only issue was there wasn't any constructive criticism to help me improve for the next essay. The essay prompts were also interesting! Thanks, Dr. Hochenauer!

I took an online 8-week English Lit Since 1800 class with Professor Hochenauer. He provided us with all the reading material and was very clear about the assignments. This was a wonderful class and really lets you interpret readings from your own opinion. All he really wants is a little effort! Easy and fun class, easy A!

Had for online English Lit Since 1800. Lots of reading and discussion and a few essays, but overall I don't think I could have failed if I put in 0 effort. I only turned in 2 essays and did nearly half of the discussions while reading hardly any of the material. Yeah, I made an "A." Not even kidding.

Had for Advanced Comp online. Pretty good prof, although he didn't interact with the class much. Let the students run much of the show. Quick about getting papers back and giving feedback. Online discussion is CRUCIAL for this class so if you can't handle online classes, look elsewhere.

Dr. Hochenauer seems like a pretty cool person, but his online classes are just too easy. I'm not sure why any college student would rejoice at having an easy class; after all, it is your education your trying to attain and not your grade. If you want this class to be challenging then you're going to need to read much more than is required.
