Dr. Saunders is one of my favorite professors. I've had her for four classes. She can be tough but she wants you to learn the material. Her classes are fun and I would recommend her to anyone!

Comment:

I not only had Dr. Saunders for World Civ, she was also my making connections teacher freshman year. She is truly a fantastic teacher. She gives amazing lectures and clear criteria. She was also really there for me. As long as you're trying in her class, she'll try to help you out when you need it. I really hope I get a chance to take her again!

I honestly do not understand the negative ratings here. I took Honors US History to 1876 with Dr. Saunders. She was a very helpful and giving professor. She keeps the class casual and comfortable while keeping us on topic. Not an easy class, but not an unfair one at all.

Dr. Saunders does a lot. A LOT. She's one of my favorite teachers, and it's always a joy to walk into her class. Her assignments are engaging and exciting.

I wish I could write a book about how awful her class is just to give the world a heads up to never take her class!!! She is so so rude!! she assigns way to much work on students and for someone who is has a PHD well she lacks manners, and she also lacks the ability to teach!! I feel so sorry for her future students!!

unrealistic expectations! maybe if you had a photographic memory the tests would be reasonable. gave more work than all my other classes put together. never responded to emails. set up tests online for certain amount of points and then changed them at her own whim saying blackboard mistake. worst teacher ever!!

I do not recommend this professor to anyone. I am a History major and hated the class. She lacks knowledge of the subject that you would expect a professor to know. She talks to you like you are of a lesser value than her. She assigns pointless work, or busy work. I do not recommend. She is not clear and is not very helpful.

This teachers lacks the Knowledge to teach U.S. History Since. She was always confusing dates and time lines. She might tell you something that goes against what the book states and when you ask her about it, she tells you to use the info she has given. This teacher should not be allowed to teach another class. Take my advice, avoid her!

It's not a hard class, but her outlines for her papers and test are unbelievable. And her manors...wait she has no manors or respect. My grandfather passed away and she didnt let me make up my quizes. And the only reason she took off my missed classes was because I provided billing from the funeral home, because she didn't believe the provided note

I also had this professor for FYE and World Civ (a two hour block) and it was truly one of the most awful exploits of my life. What she says goes, even if the information is wrong. She also contradicts herself A LOT. I'm certain I would have more fun being torn apart by bears. History majors remain undeclared first semester and do a general ed FYE.

She is the worst professor I've ever had. It is freaking ridiculous how childish and immature she is for a grown woman. If you ask a sincere question in her class, she talks down to you and makes you feel like an idiot. There are other professors that you can take on campus for all of her classes, so take THEM instead!!

This class was not difficult, the most difficult part of this class was dealing with such a pompous professor. Questions that required subjective grading were graded with sarcastic remarks. I fully understand she is a lawyer, and most likely more intelligent than I, but as far manners go, most children could teach her a thing or two.

I learned a lot in the class, but as many stated, she is hard. One thing that really bothered me about her is that her test questions were subjective. Also, her formatting requirements for papers are silly. They aren't typical turabian format, they are her own 'special' requirements. Stupid if you ask me.
