I had him for 3 classes.Don't get me wrong, he is an incredibly smart man...but his class is the WORST to take, DO NOT TAKE IT...you will most likely fail it. He doesn't explain anything to you because he feels you should know all of the material. End of story. Oh, and good luck on the tests, you'll need it.

Dr. P is the man. He knows his stuff and has awesome stories to tell. Anyone who gives this guy a bad review just doesn't know what they're talking about. If something isn't clear to you he is always willing to help out until you understand.

A lot of the stuff in lecture is really unclear. Hes not so bad a guy, always willing to help with something if you dont get it, but he grades pretty harsh. In lecture, just copy everything down and read the book and you'll be fine.

I would steer away from taking Dr. P's sections. He doesn't teach so to speak. He dumps chemistry on you. He grades arbitrarily in the sense of determining point values, sort of like that's 2 points... that's three points... that's a point... and doesn't like to be challenged about it. He may be brilliant, but he lacks greatness as an educator.

drp attempted to help when he could but even then he confused himself in trying to explain things He really does not pursue any extra effort in helping you with an already difficult class After having him for two semesters and hearing that you didnt even try really doesnt bode well for someone that put their heart and soul into everything they did.

Ok so he looks interesting, acts a little strange, and his jokes are kinda lame (he's a chemist). I'll admit he can drive you nuts, and his class is rough. He does make alot of mistakes, but at least he'll admit to them. He's always in his office and will help anyone that asks. It's manageable

In all fairness, He may have trouble make this make more sense but when questions are asked he does his best to explain. His exams are challenging but this is college and if and honest amount of work is put in, the class is very managable. Plus he's not so bad a guy.

dr. p really stinks. he DOES NOT help you, even if you go to him. he makes his classes WAY harder than they have to be and his tests are not representative of the material "taught" . everyone goes nuts in his classes b.c he isnt fair. i don't think he's happy in his life, that's sad..

Dr. Pederson's class is tough; there is no doubt about it. However, if you ask questions, utilize office hours, do the homework problems and genuinely put in time and effort, one will do well. He's a really nice guy once you get to know him.
