There are readings every week and you just have to take notes and write a summary about it. She gives extra credit opportunities and is a easy grader. The class is really easy, just show up, turn in the reading responses, participate every now and then and it's an easy A. There are also no exams.

I took CHS445 online. As long as you do the reading, you'll be fine. I really enjoyed the videos she posted. I learned so much! Loved it!

She gives a lot of readings but all the hw is opinion responses in a journal so there is no wrong answer, same goes for the midterm and final. Easy A as long as you show up (she docks points for every missed class) and do the work! I enjoyed this class and it taught me a lot about how being happy with yourself is key to a happy life!

Overall she was a pretty good professor. It was an easy hybrid course and she taught to the best of her ability. Her grading is very relaxed. Midterm and Final were research papers and they are very easy.

Very easy class and interesting concepts. She is super chill, but only thing she hates it's ppl being late. Gives lots of small writings for HW but they're easy. A paper for the midterm and final which are easy also. You have to read but you can survive by just browsing through book. Good easy upper GE if you need to fit it with other tough classes

Professor Lara is simply amazing! Class meet ups are only once a week for an hour. Weekly papers due; 3 textbooks, but are available at the library, check before buying! Easy class; 10 homework papers (questions about textbooks), 1 Midterm paper, 1 final paper. All super easy! Participation matters.

Professor Medina is really sweet and cares about her students. She does give a lot of assignments where you answer questions, and do a few analysis on murals and you do your own "Day of the Dead" project which goes towards your final grade. It's easy work, just time consuming. You will need the book as well!

Easy class but very interesting. Met once a week so I wouldn't recommend to miss as she does assign assignments in class. Not many assignments so missing one could affect your grade. Offered extra credit but if you do the hw you don't even need it. Definitely recommend!

If you are looking for an easy upper division GE this is it. Professor Medina is extremely knowledgeable in her subject and makes the class extremely easy. Attendance is mandatory so make sure to show up just to get the points. Make sure to do every assignment because she doesn't assign a lot so missing one can really hurt your grade!

This was a very interesting class/prof. I expected to learn more about culture but we more so focused on main events of the culture. We presented one interesting project. She is able to teach you something new in each class period. She is great. Lots of short papers, no true tests. This course is for all chicanas/os and non-chicanas/os alike.

From the previous comments I thought her online class would be difficult but in reality it was not. You did have to read two books and had quizzes but they weren't difficult if you read. There is a midterm paper and final paper four pages each. However, her directions of what she wants are clear. Overall good online class. I took it over the summer

Very simple online class, but not so easy. 2 books. Forums and quizzes every week. You actually have to work for a good grade in the forums and the quiz questions are tricky. VERY strict deadlines that at the beginning were not clear. Final was easy. Less than 10 short answer questions. Easy class if you read and keep track of deadlines

Took her online class over summer. LOVED her textbook, second one sucked though. Her online quizzes were vague to say the least and poorly worded. I got lots of things wrong and then tried to prove my point after almost every quiz and got almost all the deserved points back. If you think you're right about something, don't be afraid to talk to her!

I enjoyed the textbooks and I learned a lot of valuable information but I did not like her unassertive teaching style. She is constantly changing deadlines and is unclear with assignment prompts. I had a lot of trouble keeping up with assignments, not because they were difficult but because she made them difficult to understand.

Great Professor. Very clear in how she teaches. Her class consisted of weekly reading worksheets, midterm and final essay, and a presentation. Somewhat disorganized but helpful.

I took the online class for summer. Assignments consist of a journal, chapter quizzes, and a final essay. The book was very interesting and was not like a regular textbook. She doesn't provide much guidelines but what she gives is enough. Assignments are pretty quick to get through.

I took this class hoping to gain understanding in self healing. I ended up not wanting to attend class so I ended up dropping. She is unsure of what she does and she always changed dates and makes everything difficult and stressful rather than healing. The two field trps i attended and the readings were ok. She wasnt so helpful.

This class was not that bad. She gave some questions regarding the readings and the midterm was easy. The one thing is she requires you to go to a lot of outside school events and has you do an oral presentation. She is pretty easy, just do the work and she will give you a good grade

I have never read so much in my life! She gives you a LOAD to read and EXPECTS you to participate in class (if you don't she picks on you). She means well though, she's a good teacher.
