She is the best prof I had so far. If you come to her classes he gives hints and additional information about the exams and assignments. She not kidding when she says if you don't go to class you won't do well. She is very caring and understanding of people and what they might be going through.

Dr. Hoeber is a great teacher. Although lectures can feel longer than they should be, they are important to go to since a lot of her slides are fill-in-the-blank. Often these fill-in-the-blank slides are test questions. She tries to make lectures interesting and is a really nice person. 10/10 would recommend her!!

Excellent professor. Go to class, the lectures are entertaining and she explains everything very well. My biggest mistake is missing 4 lectures in a row. Really wished I sacrificed my sleep but oh well! Essays were fun to do and I actually learnt something from her class to definitely recommend her!

Larena was a great prof. She was funny, helpful, and clear on what she wanted out of both tests and assignments. Come to class and she will give you bonus info for quizzes at the end of the lecture.

Im not sure how Larena has decent reviews on here. Im in Kin and despite the faculty having a plethora of bad teachers, she is the worst by far! 6-10 page RESEARCH paper due every two weeks plus "change the community or fail this class" assignment plus write and memorize 8 research essays for the final (oh and site your references in the final)!

I took this class and it should not of been as hard as it was. She expected ALOT and marks so stupid and hard, she thinks she can just walk around and she is the sh*t and it dont stink! i think she is not a good prof at all and would avoid taking classes from her again for sure!!!!!!!!!!

Larena is one of the best profs we have. Make sure you go to all of her classes and write down her examples and quick explanations- then you will ace the midterm & final. She is the only prof who actually knows how to make a good powerpoint. Excellent summary of textbook- don't need to buy text. Take as many classes from her as you can- she's GREAT

I enjoy her classes, the assignments are challenging and the seminars are also interesting.I do enjoy sociology of sports and would highly recommend it. Attend all classes and participate. She notices.

Larena is a very nice person and very approcahble. The only things that sucks is she does not put her notes on webct beofre lectures instead she puts them on after (they are not complete). Her midterm is more difficult than the final but over all she is fair and fairly interesting.
