Dr. Pagel is a bit intimidating at first, but he is an awesome professor. It's important for you to show interest in his class, take notes, and ask questions if you have them! He doesn't put up with excuses and he expects you to act like an adult. He mainly teaches business courses. I learned SO much from him. I had him for OIS 244 and OIS 263.

People need to get over his personality. He is not there to be your friend. He is tough but he is fair. I have him in OIS 244 this year and he can be strict. I have seen him around with his guard down and he is quite nice. If you are pursing a business degree and you cant handle him, good luck in the real business world.

I found him a bit harsh. I learned from him, but I think that there a lot better methods of teaching then the ones he uses. I did not look forward to attending his class. He was an ok teacher with old sometimes unrealistic views.

The very first class I had Dr. Pagel in, I thought he was very anal, and at first it seems as though he has favorites. But, the more classes I had with him, the more I liked him. He expects a lot from his students. If you show him respect, he will do the same for you. Dr. Pagel is very intelligent and caring, it just takes a while to see it.

Dr. Pagel is is a horrible teacher. He was my professor as well as my advisor. He was rude and unhelpful. He has no clue about current business education practices and general best practices for teaching. He is stuck in the past, and therefore setting up this students for a struggle when they enter the teaching field.

He is a very picky prof. and favors students who kiss his ass. I would not recommend taking a class with him. You can tell he is former military by his anal retentive ways. He assumes most students are idiots. He also expects only doctorate worthy. I agree with some of the other comments, he should be fired or at least made him to change.

Anyone who says he is anything but a freak, and a jerk is a liar. He does favor suck ups so perhaps it's them saying it. He is rude, obnoxious, and impossible to please. He grades unfairly, and I couldn't stand to even look at his fat face by the end of the semester. He's a miserable little man.
