Great guy, but such a boring class. We haven't studied any media law issues that are current, and his exams are tricky in the sense that you can study for hours, and yet still be unprepared.

Even thought he can be a boring lecturer at times, the content is actually quite interesting. If you pay attention, take good notes, and do all of the briefs you should be fine. The paper at the end seems tough but he is a fairly easy grader and as long as you try your best you will receive a good grade. He is also always available if you need help

Didn't realize he curved the test grades until the 2nd test. 17 wrong and I got an A-. This man wants students to succeed even though they are too lazy to care about his class. He knows some will get it and some won't BUT is not willing to fail people out of the major just bc it is a required course. He really is a fun prof if you pay attention.

class is monotonous. comes off as the most prestigious professor. although he is in charge of many things his teaching abilities seem to have evolved as far as reading a scripted lecture and not much more. tests are designed for a robot, not for the evaluation of human knowledge retention. a course that strongly holds to the meaning of the word.

Holy crap this guy is the worst professor I've ever had. He gives wrong info in class, doesn't answer questions (says "uh, um, well" for a solid minute or two b4 completely ignoring what you ask), and gets terribly defensive. He just reads from notes and assigns about 60 briefs, worth only 5% in the end. Makes life (and exams) a living hell.

Not much has changed since 1977! I remember Larry relentlessly (and monotonously) reading to us for the entire class (EVERY class)from notes that turned out to be a textbook that the department secretary had (allegedly) typed, verbatim, on to 8.5x11 sheets. It was painful!

He's highly incompetent as a theatre director. Really quite clueless about how music, language, and dance come together onstage. Very basic and smarmy, too. The worst professor at a great small university.

He's not a bad guy, just sets a higher standard than most. A good teacher and very up front about his requirements, but to get an A you have to study like you have no life and also intern in a law office and probably be a total loser. Just suck up the work and go to class enough and you'll do fine
