Comment:
Larry Dunning was the finest professor I ever had for a CompSci class at BGSU. The things he taught me have served as a wonderful foundation for my now 10+ years in the IT industry. He is a hard, firm, but completely fair professor that challenged me to think for myself. Also, he is hilarious.

Comment:
Dunning is an excellent teacher if you have the mindset of a programmer. If you can't think like a programmer, you shouldn't be this deep into the CS program. You can't fail his course unless you actively avoid doing work and asking him questions.

He's subbing for a prof that is out right now, and listening to him is easily the most painful experience I've ever had in college, even worse than when that girl I liked stood me up.

A 1 Credit Hour UNIX course shouldn't be bad, but when you have a comm-pute-or teaching you, it can get a little hairy! I did well, but I think half the class dropped out of the course by the end of the 2nd week. He's very mono-tone and doesn't seem personal. Very computer-geek-ish teacher.
