Awful teacher. Goes on forever about things it takes 2 seconds to learn from the book. Loves the sound of his own voice. STAY AWAY!

He is a great teacher and very nice. Boring at times, but he breaks everything down very well. He is always up for helping you out in his office hours and hands out a study guide weeks before the test. Alpia homework online once or twice every two weeks, it's fairly easy and helps you understand the material better. I recommend him.

This guy is the best econ professor i've ever had. He is very clear and really explains things very well. This is hard material though, and I suggest reading the material in the book as you go through this course. Definitely recommend him though. This is my second time taking this course and i think i got an A because of this guy's clarity.

great professor but read the chapter before class, do the aplia assignments, and the three data projects (that take 10min. to do), and write down what ever he puts on the board(which is not much)..youll get a B in the class...look over the review handouts before the test and youll get an A.

i took this course in fall '07 and the comments are true, don't take this guy unless you plan on learning the material yourself. the best thing to do is not ask any questions. he doesn't take attendance, so that's a plus, but relies on those ridiculous aplia assignments & the 3 exam grades to configure your score. DO NOT TAKE MACRO WITH THIS GUY!!

He's uncaring and rude. I missed a test because I was in a car accident - I had a note from the hospital and the police report and I got a C- in the class because I had to take a 0 for that exam.

Went to every class, completed the homework assignments, and completely failed the tests. I'm not sure how thats possible, but somehow managed it. You'll think you understand the material, but the tests don't reflect the lectures. Don't take him if you plan on getting a good grade.

Dr. Ellis really knows his stuff. Does lots of examples, writes everything down on the board, and breaks all concepts down into "easy-to-swallow" bites. You need to go to read your book and come to class, but you will want to because your class notes will be very helpful for the test. He prepares you well for the test. Take this class!!

Not the easiest one out there, but he knows what he's talking about. No attendance policy, but go anyway. Make sure you study well for the tests, it'll come back to haunt you if you don't. If you're an econ major he's your guy, but if you're just trying to get it out of the way, look for an easier professor first.

I dont know what these people are saying bad things about. He is a hell of a lot better than any other Econ professor I have had. This was a great class and very interesting. Larry knows what he is talking about. The people that rated him bad must be morons that just dont try in college. Very easy class for the college of business. :)

Class is pretty easy. Take notes, study them alot and you'll do fine. Quizzes are basically straightfoward. Tests are a little harder but not too bad. I never did worse than an 80 on anything. Gives several homework assignments that only help your grade. Easy A!
