Professor Forman is hands-down the best professor I've had throughout my college years. Prof. What's great about him is he makes the class interesting and fun. How? he forces students to participate in interactive activities. He jokes a lot and very accessible outside of class. If you're reading this Prof. Forman, thank you and you're AWESOME!!!

Everyday, Forman would reach out to increase our comfort confidence, creativity AND FUN! yes fun (and hard work are deeply embedded in Forman's classes. Last semester he had serious surgery and from the hospital emailed us with updates about assignments and offers to help UNBELIEVABLE

HE'S ONE OF THE BEST PROFESSORS THAT I'VE HAD IN MY LIFE! He's smart, professional, fair, funny, kind, always smiling, always available outside the class even if the college is closed. His class is tough and he makes you work hard which is expected for any programming language. En is my 2nd language but I got all his lectures perfectly. LOVE HIM!

Excellent professor! Lets you resubmit lots of assignments and even quizzes to improve your grade. Many chances to do "extra credit" using his "STAR" system. Patiently goes over his handouts to explain all the concepts needed to do the work. He provides the pieces of the puzzle, but expects us to figure out how to put them together. Take him!

Never thought I'd enjoy a class so much! Prof Forman's enthusiasm for teaching & for success of his students was apparent every single session. He has high expectations and won't accept anything but your best efforts. His comprehensive handouts will guide you to learn & get an A. He is happy to stay after class to help. Absolutely fantastic professor! He knows his stuff and how to create an atmosphere that encouraged his students to excel. He was always available outside of class both in-person and by email. Very demanding professor who really cares about his students and their success. Plan to spend lots of time on programs but you can be as creative as you want.

Awesome professor! Dedicated to his students and passionate about teaching. And not just about C++ programming, but also about living life in a deep and fulfilling way. Amazing, amazing professor! His enthusiasm is contagious. He wants to make sure EVERYONE is learning and goes way beyond to help. He stays after class for as long as you need help and responds to emails with his unique personal touch. One of the few profs who really enjoys teaching and loves being here. And the field trips are fantastic.

Computer classes are dull and boring, right? WRONG!! At least when Professor Forman is teaching! This semester is the first time I never missed a class and never wanted to miss a class. Outstanding class with a professor who creates an environment where everyone wants to help everyone else succeed and reach his lofty standards. Found my passion!

Very passionate and knowledgeable. Entry-level class, but challenging. Allows you to choose any book you want to study, so cheap. Time-consuming projects with tedious amounts of typing due to the language, so only take if you have time to spare. Highly recommended!

One of the best professors at City College (and beyond)! Knows his stuff and wants to make sure every student learns the stuff, too. Stays after class to help and is easily accessible via email -- even after midnight! Not sure Professor Forman ever sleeps. The field trips are great. If you're serious about learning, take his class. It's a blast!

"Founder of the walk about" I learned more about him scaling mountains, than applying code to a game. City college has a joke for a CIS program, you'll recognize this after 1 or 2 classes. Business as usual with this man. He wont help you tap into your potential. Just another old teacher, waiting for his Golden Handshake.

Highly recommend! Tried taking Java with another professor who lacked the knowledge and enthusiasm of Professor Forman. This time I learned so much and even had fun. Lots of freedom to express yourself in all the assignments. But you gotta do the work which takes time. Can't wait to take another class with him.

Damn, I didn't want that C. I guess I should have put in more time. Great class if your willing to work a bunch, too bad I had other classes get in the way. Games is kind of time consuming. Arrogant teacher. Relies heavily on "Guru's" or former students of his to grade and critique you. Who are themselves very arrogant and obnoxious, and not easily approachable for help. He is not the worst teacher I have encountered but certainly not the best. I have doubts whether I would take another course of his again.

City is lucky to have such a world-class professor! A bit eccentric, but that's how he makes a potentially dry and dull class come alive. His corny jokes still made me laugh. What did not make me laugh were students who did not take the time to do the work, They slowed the rest of us down until they finally stopped showing up. Great class/prof!!
