The class was a pain in the neck. All that was excpeted of you was to read and automatically understand. He brought no life to this subject neither did the TA Sean.

I wouldn't recommend this class to anyone, it is very boring. Most of the time no one in the class understand what he's talking about. The best part of the class was we had a great TA without our TA we wouldn't have understood anything. If you don't have to, please don't take this class it's not worth it.

dont even bother showing up to class.. all you need to know is in the readings.. nothing whatsoever discussed in class is on the tests.. read the chapters, know major ppl, major places, times, religions general views and you'll do ok.. the class is not that hard if you do that i got a b.. should have been an a.. as for a teacher.. get someone else.

how hard is a gen ed supposed to be? This class really tests that limit... expects philosophy major work on papers and exams, however quizes are semi easy and replace your lowest grade so go to class and pay attention.. i ended up with an A but i had to work my ass off..

I'm sorry, he's a nice man but this class is too difficult for a gen ed. Expects too much out of his students and my TA was a hard grader..there was only 4 grades total in the class..and it's pretty much hit or miss with the papers that are assigned..I'm a good student and this class screwed me over..take it with someone else if you can

He isn't bad, but I am not a fan of his teaching style. Assigned readings are never clarifyed or rarely discussed. The TA I have for that class is awesome though. He is the only reason I am passing that class.

hes intersting guy. good lecturer...dumps alot of work off on his TA's which is understanable with 4 sections but the TA's do a poor job grading. but nothing against him though too busy for his own good. few grades...easy to pass if you try.

He knows what he is talking about, but is never prepared for class and doesn't have time to talk after class. Try finding a professor that has time for their students and gives a STUDY GUIDE for tests on 200+ pages of reading

PHIL170 is labeled "World Religions!" We spent about 5% of the semester talking about religion, 45% about "valid arguments," and the other 50% I don't know cause I was sleeping. I learned nothing!
