Comment:

A great professor and a great person. Stick to the basics becase he is old school. Midterm, paper and final. A reasionable marker and knows the subject extremly well. It will be a huge loss to the study of Chinese history in New Brunswick when he retires.

Larry Shyu is the MAN! Take his course if you have any interest at all in history and/or China. Lots of notes, but pay attention and you should do fine. He's extremely friendly so if you need help, just ask him. All in all, one of the friendliest, most knowledgeable profs at STU. Thumbs up!!

Great man! very mellow, i would sit near the fron hard to hear at the back. gives good outlines for exams,not alot of work but yet enough. Would take more classes from him. Give a lot of oral notes, if you read the text you should be fine.
