Simonson got roped into teaching again after eight years of retirement and killed it. Definitely had a few classes of confusion, but overall taught the class well. I learned a lot. He was willing to answer any questions you had. For the final, he gave us homemade jam to take home! Super sweet old dude.

I liked taking Mr. Simonson's class. He was out of the loop for a while, so he seemed a little confused but it was still very interesting. If you have a high grade before the final he will let you skip it.

He hasn't taught in the last eight years and it showed. Really arbitrary at grading and he makes his tests either way to hard or really easy. Relied on one of the worst textbooks I have ever seen, there's bad Grammer and incomplete solutions. Get an A on everything and he'll let you out of the final

I was confused on a topic so I asked him for help but he refused to help me and instead he told me to ask other classmates for help. This did not help at all which caused me to get farther behind and drop the class. HE DOES NOT CARE ABOUT YOU AT ALL so don't even attempt to ask for help.

Dr. Simonson was a great teacher and if you show him that your putting in the time and effort, you shouldn't have a problem with anything. Also cares about his students on a more personal level than any other professor I've had... I thought he was by far one of the best professors I've had while at SDSMT.

ahh, finally, someone who has found a way to keep a large group of students awake. lotsa hands-on stuff, lotsa input from the crowd, occasionally will show stuff he does on the student's level, just take the class already, you won't regret.
