Comment:

Like others have said she expects you to know the material and doesn't review. The class moves fast pace. I went to her office hours the second week of class to get help. She didn't show up for her own office hours. Gave no phone number to call for these kinds of things. I emailed but the wifi at Bundy is mediocre at best. So far no go.

Fantastic professor. After 30 years away from school, I returned and was nervous to take a Math class. Prof. Ward was the best that could have happened. Straight shooter. Consistent. You know what to expect. Listen, participate, ask questions if lost, DO THE HOMEWORK, and prep for test and you will be golden. good pace so focus!!

She doesn't explain things carefully. This class WOULD be good if someone just needed a refresher but if you're just learning the subject DO NOT take it. Very boring.

Although she is a really nice lady she is not the ideal professor for someone that struggles with math. She goes through the lessons way too fast and doesn't really explain things when you ask her for help. She speaks in a low voice, I couldn't really hear her unless I sat in the first two rows. Her tests are tough, and she doesn't curve any grades

This professor is the best math teacher I had all my life. She made me appreciate math to the max. I truly appreciate her time that she took to teach us even when she had migraines. She teaches very well so you understand everything in one or two shots. Beware that she has tendency to treat the class like High School such as attendance policy.

She is one of the best math teachers I have ever had. She can be quiet sometimes when she talks about something important, but that makes you want to listen closer to her. She involves the whole class, and is honestly so amazing. I adore her so much, I'm even taking her during the summer. Such a great teacher, I adore her so much.

professor ward was an amazing professor it was my 3rd time taking my math 31 class and I was finally able to pass it with her she helped me out everytime I would ask for help and she tries to help you pass the class sometimes curves the test. I definitely recommend her!!!

Explains things a bit fast -- has an attitude when asking for clarification. Very deep monotone voice, nothing special and plus since it was on Bundy campus, the portable learning environment is never helpful.

I'm going to be honest. She is a nice lady . This class solely depends on how comfortable you are with math. If you're good at it, then most likely you'll be fine and get a passing grade. BUT, if you ever struggled with math in highschool, do not take this class. She expects you to get and understand the material the first time and doesnt review.

Yes, she rushes the class. Though if you truly pay attention and ASK QUESTIONS she'll break t down step by step. If no one says aything to her she'll assume you understand the lesson. You have to step up to get the best grade possible. I don't know if i would take her again but i actually really enjoy it now. Bring yout book and do the homework!

I wish Professor Ward taught higher math classes besides just 81, 85 and 31. She was the best math teacher I've ever had in college. Now I am taking math 20 w a different professor and having the hardest time. I wish every teacher taught like her

I've always struggle in math and taking this class with her just made me HATE math even more! she goes through everything so quick and makes you do the work on your own. If you ask for help she will help you but it seems like she gets annoyed quick. She expects you to understand everything! If you struggle in math I DONT recommend her!

I took Professor Ward for Math 31 and she is hands down the best math teacher I've had!!! If you have a real life fear of math take this teacher. She goes through problems on the board the whole class to make sure your getting practice and understanding. Homework is just checkpoints. Tests and some quizzes but you will pass if you ask ?s when lost

Hey!! Who cares if she is late all the time she still covers all the material without going too quickly! I love her! She makes sure you understand the material. She walks you through it step by step. I hated math before I took her! Seriously she is great. You need to take her. She is not hard you just need to ask questions she will gladly help you.

She is very clear about her lectures. I love Ms. Ward! If you follow her instructions in class, you will pass the exams. The exams are fair. She connected with us and cared about us doing well. I would take her again.

Unfortunately, I did not have a good experience in this class. Professor Ward was constantly lateabsent. She did not have office hours and took 10 days to respond an email. It was difficult to be motivated, when she didn't even want to be there. Additionally, on three occasions she was absent the day before an examquiz and still made us take it.

What a nice change. This was my third math class at SMC and it was by far the best. She is honestly one of the best teachers @SMC. My other math teachers spoke broken English and when I asked questions I would often get short snippy answers. Prof Ward works through examples with the class. Test have no surprises. Do HW, pay attentionA. Top notch
